I don't remember the last time the Forums burned like this. It's absolute chaos. Expansions typically get more of a general stir of conversations but these semi-individual changes to ships/components, especially when used by a good number of players, always get the threats of leaving, every person that feels wronged starting their own thread without thinking, and just an overall display of folks that genuinely think that either the world revolves around them or that anyone really cares. edit: this isn't even the first time nanos have been nerfed iirc. last time was for the same reason. people found a way to use them to make eve easy for THEM, so they instantly fought it with everything they had because after the nerf, they would again be balanced with everyone else and have to rely on skill again. You're doing it wrong.

Packe Minmatar Interstellar eXodus R0ADKILL	Posted - 2008.07.29 18:38:00 - [22] The problem is that players have put a lot of time and thought into developing an elite character template, both in terms of skill training, module aquisition and maybe even manufacturing of the components (such as t2 ships so they become cheaper and disposable). It may take 10-20m +SPs to really become the top in a class. It isn't just 1 month of training. Naturally, those players feel cheated by the changes. The HAC nano pilot is a great chartacter to develop, and should be reduced in strength somewhat. Changing the whole game to try and nerf the nano pilot template seems like insanity. That said you still should allow players to become elite by spending billions of isk (that means having high powered rare loot). Elite pilots should not die often. They should be hard to kill and you should be prepared to spend time catching them.

The WCS nerf. The stacking nerf. Carriers were even more forum hilarity than this has been. But just a few more folks nerd-raging and making their own "THIS IS THE OFFICIAL NANO THREAD" may top the carrier fun.
