IÆd like to turn off the ôlogö files, or at least not save them in the ôMy Documentsö folder, is there a way to do either one? Not save them? Or at least move them?

That only kills the chat logs, it doesn't stop the gamelogs in MY DOCUMENTS

Any special reason for doing that?

Yes since you ask.... "My Documents" folder at work is backed up to centralized servers, I really don't need gamelogs saved there, doesn't go over real well with the powers that be in my NPC corporation.
what difference does it make to you anyway?

To me, no difference at all. Just asking, 'cause it seems only like a couple of Mb stored there and really no reason to move it. Thank you for the information though.

Edited by: Shereza on 02/08/2008 01:38:07 Short of moving where your profile is stored (EDIT: and so far as I know this causes all sorts of grief with roaming profiles and whatnot, at least in XP Pro) you cannot, so far as I know, move where CCP, in its infinite (or is that incredibly finite) wisdom decided to store the logs as result of Vista-related (and Vista is supposed to be an upgrade from XP Pro??) security problems.
Frankly, I think it's a crock of crap myself because I use small (10-20gb) partitions for my OS drive to make copying and backing up whole partition structures fast and easy and with programs like Microsoft Office and Microsoft Visual Studio installing files whereever they please instead of where I tell the installers to put them I need every spare megabyte on my boot drive.
Then there's all the hoops we have to jump through to keep our settings from getting stored in our Documents & Settings folders. For people who do frequent Windows reinstalls and don't often, or don't often care to, sort through their profile to save crap I'm sure this is a major pain in the butt. ____________________
