Only a 2 point scram has the ability knock the mwd off.
If you are that close, you are probably already webbed anyway lol (or completely safe as the nublet you are fighting isn't fit for pvp anyway).
Intys bumping BS off of alignment are certainly in for a wake up call.
Doesn't appear to affect much other than such tactics. As long as you are out of 2point range, you can MWD until you run out of cap.
Go to sisi and try it. Its really not as awful as many of you are imagining.

Originally by: Gremrod I guess I missed something in this thread and even checked patch notes. Can someone explain to me what was done that now makes the speed tank/race car build no longer a viable build?
its still viable (from the limited testing done on Sisi) its just not "win all engagements" button anymore.
Vs an opponent that can get close to you, your nano fails. Can you see the obvious problems here?
1 - the opponent needs to get 'close' to you 2 - the opponent needs to be pvp fit
If any of the above 2 are missing, then nano is as effective as ever, just they are going to take a little bit of damage during the fight rather than none at all.
Its still very small amounts of damage done to ships going over 3km/s, but at least its damage being done at last.

There is another solution:
Just make missiles and drones go faster than the fastest ships so they hit and damage the target.
Thats all this is about, bringing missiles and drones back onto the battlefield.
So whats it to be?
Ludicrous + 5km/s missiles and drones
or
a normalization of ship speeds via a stacking nerf on velocity mods/implants/hardwirings/skills/and booster pills like other tanking methods have to live with?
