This is a minor rant about invention 
Ok, so what did we get apart from the ships....
We are armor tankers and drone users, both technologies belonging to Amarr or a mix of all races.... blasters and railguns...also not gallentean ... mining upgrades.... woohoo!
Could a future patch in some way address the balance, or is there an RP slant here somewhere that Gallente spend all there time in pleasure huibs with not time to create any technology

I think the Hulk's more than made up for it. If not mistaking Gallente Ship Interfaces are still the most expensive interface in the game yet.

Umm, last time I checked Gallente can invent blasters, every flavor of drone, the mining upgrades, and mining lasers. Oh and all of the T2 mining ships fall under Gallente invention. I'm not too sure we were given a bum deal there. At least my wallet can't agree with you.

My point is that the Gallente are descended over probably thousands of years from the French. The same is true of the English being descended primarily from viking settlers. But nobody calls the English Vikings, to they? No, because after about a thousand years, intermingling with Normans Celts, etc, they're a completely different race, with a completely different culture.

Weelll... actually the crazy french dude who conquered England came from Normandy whose inhabbitants were also decendants of the Vikings :P I know we were a little Yarr back then
