I guess it's no accident that one of the bob corps is called evolution.
They have figured out (after quite a few fearful poundings) that it is, perhaps more, than they are capable of, to jump into a cynojammed system that is actively defended by a hostile gang, take down said jammer, jump in their cap fleet and do the bizzz.
So, they decided to go for EC-, one of the entry points to the north, one of several, there is another one just 2 jumps away, EC- has a memorable history and has been owned/contested since eve strated. It has been controlled by RA, by D2, even BOB took EC- before, with the help of ASCN (and then promptly wiped out ASCN)
Why did they choose EC-?
Well they suspected that RA wouldn't put up massive resistance and they were right. They guessed the North wouldn't put up massive resistance and they were right again.
EC- just isn't important enough, no-one lives there and we'll see evntually that BOB will give it up and someone else can have the pleasure.
A few aborted attempts to take the systems they REALLY want later and in an effort to keep their reputation up, they go for L-C, a nothing system in Fade, perhaps this was in tribute to Black Nova Corp, who kinda started their reputation in Fade, who knows.
What system is next?
Will they actually manage to get into a strategic system, one that actually matters ?
Only time will tell.

Who cares whats in it, its got a station, now stick one of the 10 alliances that flew up there with you in it to hold it and move on to the next. Sounds like a decent plan to me.

I believe this is known as "flanking." It worked at the Battle of Hastings and BoB's leadership has been hard at work figuring out how to put that to work for them.... --

Hey, they didn't commit suicide and took irrelevant (27 towers lacks 73 to become relevant...) system.
Basicly write evemail to BoB ceos and ask them to self destruct ships, maybe you'll save a tower :P

Fade is home to at least 1 Dysprosium moon and 5 or more Prometheum. Not exactly chump change. There's also a 10/10 floating around there somewhere.
L-C has historically been the hub of Fade, holding it cuts off the C4C and I-UU stations in the dead end behind L-C as well. It may not be deemed as "useful" to the NC or RA, but every station that BoB takes is just going to make it that much harder for them to be driven away. -----------------------------------------

I too am a big fan of the comma, but I had no idea it was involved with what happened to my parents!? :(
Pretty funny tho, when I read that I had to reread, and he does use alot of commas.

I think it's just great the way you Goons are TOTALLY backing your allies TO THE HILT on the forums, even if you're not prepared to lift a finger to help them while GBC takes all their systems.

Indeed, what would you do. I seem to remember that CCP caps the amount of people allowed to hide in one system at any one time. Probably no room for goons to help defend that one system.
