You are wrong. CCP did nerf the Obelisk and all other freighters together.
How?
You know how right now, most smart people escort their freighters with a frig that web's the freighter to help it enter warp instantly?
Well, with 60% webs, that's no longer possible.

Sigh. I swear it's going to be an entirely different game. None of the old tricks (not even the non-nano related crap) will work it seems.
Let me guess, they're rebinding our F1-F8 keys to Ctrl+Alt a-k too. And making ctrl clicking on a target actually offline your guns.

like it or not, this patch will be the CCP's NGE (New Game Experience)
It'll be interesting to see how the market reacts to the idea of changing the game's design significantly while people play.
Maybe SOE just did it wrong. CCP has a chance to prove that the game clients aren't sensetive to such changes. Or it can reinforce the theory that changing one's game in height of its popularity doesn't go over well with the playerbase. Either way other companies will get something useful out of this experiment.

Double web ?
It would work. So it is still possible, it's just harder to do, requires to sacrifice ship fittings more to achieve same effect. Hence it is a nerf

Hold on just a damn minute. What fittings are you actually sacrificing here?
Seriously. If you're using an alt to web your freighter you're either doing it in pretty much any ship available, or a minmatar recon due to the convenience of increased range. A minmatar recon for this job requires no fittings other than the web.
So yes, technically speaking it's been nerfed: For ships with only one midslot of which there are, what, 6? Four of which are noob ships? ---------------- Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.83 (Updated 7/3) |

It has been nerfed for all ships except those that receive web strength bonus.
I see where you are going with your argument, and you are right that it is still easy to do. But you are wrong in your understanding of what a nerf is.
Maybe it'll help you understand in these terms: Imagine that you have a 2000$ a month salary. You receive a 5% paycut. But you can still pay the rent, buy food, and play online computer games. You just don't save as much, technically you can do everything you did before. So is your salary nerfed or not, because you still do everything you were doing?

Fair enough. I guess there's a difference between a nerf and a meaningful nerf. ---------------- Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.83 (Updated 7/3) |

For me the most overlooked ships are Blockadrunner.
Speed : bye bye thanks to speed nerf
Agility : bye bye thanks to stacking penality
2 WCS as ship bouns : bye bye thanks to mobile warp bubble, interdictor and heavy interdictor
sorry for my bad english

Totally this. Every time a new patch with so-called "nerfs" comes, I say to myself "This whinage is so ridiculous, it can't get worse!". Then the next patch comes.
Oh, and ITT: Some (not all) people who are in desperate need of a life.

er.... did every just ignore this o_0....
expand on this someone. Please!! cause this could be good. I hate having to put a cap booster on my vigilent, which means i can put a scram or a AB on the spare mid you get. This could be the next best ship :P ok, maybe not but going to be a heavy hitting close range blaster boat that works |

I predict that market will increase massivly. Ships will get blown up a lot more and thus more demand. Bob's MAX campaign in the north is destroying most of northern moon reactions -> t2 production so prices will be forced up massivly as well.
All in all, its going to be a industrial players dream, no difference to mission runners, and tactics will return to blob wars, reducing the need to bring 700man blobs.
All in all, the game will be improving a lot, though t2 might get more expensive due to more ships being blown up (even if you exclude MAX campaign)
