What else is there to play for?
Well since you ask here's what i'd like to see. I'd like to see BoB retake all of ISS's old stations and perhaps put up a few more. I would then like them to make these stations open to the public in the same way ISS did. The last thing i would like to see is each of these station systems have capital building equipment at every available moon and to rent these capital slots to the general pubic of eve.
You've shown you can fight all eve, now show you can give something back to them.

So you want them to give the rest of eve the ability to build what they need to take them down?

Originally by: Captain Roberts Edited by: Captain Roberts on 01/08/2008 21:23:58 Hello,
Apologies for my previously snipped posts. It seems I have to be a member of a PC-run corporation to post here. Fortunately, I joined one last night.
Now, I'd like to revisit the BoB strategy.
The complaints I've read on these forums are that:
A) BoB is taking down weakly defended systems
And
B) BoB's strategy is boring.
My contention as an uninvolved 3rd party observer is that BoB's strategy is brilliant.
First, by attacking weakly defended systems, BoB ensures easy victories and high morale amongst its operatives.
Second, because the systems are 'weakly' defended but not entirely undefended, BoB is gradually destroying resources belonging to the enemy. I can't imagine that 3 titans and the other equipment on site were inexpensive to create or replaceable on short notice. Some have said that the 3 titans were enroute to join the main fleet, which means that BoB's strategy has denied 3 hugely powerful vessels to the enemy.
Third, BoB is forcing the defending alliance to make some difficult choices. If they continue to bunch up their forces in a few systems, then they are forced to watch as their Empire is ripped apart. If they spread forces to defend their remaining space, then they risk losing their navy piecemeal to a massed assault.
Finally, because their strategy is 'Boring' and 'Frustrating', BoB is encouraging their opponents to make an error due to emotional discomfort.
I am hard pressed to find a single area where the BoB strategy is flawed. Unless a counter is developed to their advance, victory seems inevitable. I do hope some kind of defense can be managed against this strategy, because I would not want to see BoB rise to the prominence of which they aspire. Namely, placing every capsuleer directly or indirectly under their yoke.
--Captain Roberts
Let me just put a hole in your assessment, BoB isn't winning because they are overwhelmingly better, they are winning because the NC is waiting for something to happen, maybe christmas. _____________________________________

They are not weakly defended, they are not defended at all. It is space various parties have taken due to Tri's self-implosion and are just being mined. Most are not even worth the effort of committing a fleet to defend.
it is not a real victory if there isn't a fight to begin with. In the time BoB has been fart-arsing around they could have destroyed 10x the number of moon mining ventures in low-sec if they had half a brain between the lot of them.
It is a timezone war, NC is heavy Euro, RA is obviously heavy East European and BoB is heavy US. It is actually very difficult outside of weekends to have any meaningful conflict with the way system sieging operates at present.

If i get the oportunity believe me i will.
Now to the matter at hand,
Band of Brothers Alliance is a very good alliance yes i agree to that, but you are not unbeatable.
The problem is that your current competition is lacking in organization and stamina.

Apologies for my previously snipped posts. It seems I have to be a terrible poster to post here. Fortunately, I am such a poster.
Now, I'd like to revisit the BoB strategy.
The complaints I've read on these forums are that:
A) BoB is taking down weakly defended threads
And
B) BoB's posting is boring.
My contention as a mildly ******ed grade schooler is that BoB's strategy is brilliant.
First, by attacking weakly defended threads, BoB ensures easy victories and high morale amongst its posters.
Second, because the threads are 'weakly' defended but not entirely undefended, BoB is gradually destroying the remaining decent posting on this forum. I can't imagine that the titan and the other equipment in Jake Noble's thread were inexpensive to create or replaceable on short notice. Some have said that the titan was enroute to join Lady Scarlet, which means that BoB's strategy has denied two hugely powerful vessels to the enemy.
Third, BoB is forcing the defending posters to make some difficult choices. If they continue to bunch up their posts in a few threads, then they are forced to watch as CAOD is ripped apart. If they spread posters to defend their remaining space, then they risk losing their posters piecemeal to a massed assault.
Finally, because their strategy is 'Boring' and 'Frustrating', BoB is encouraging their opponents to make an error due to asdfdasasdasd.
I am hard pressed to find a single area where the BoB strategy is flawed. Unless a counter is developed to their advance, victory seems inevitable. I do hope some kind of defense can be managed against this strategy, because I would not want to see BoB rise to the prominence of which they aspire. Namely, placing every capsuleer directly or indirectly in a terrible thread, such as this.

You sure about Timezones. Check again on when fleet engagement happens. And yeah no fight means they win the fight by forfeiture. But ohh well. Keep believing what you read in CAOD.
