minmatar support pilot here, which usually means I fly scimitar/rapier/scorpion in battle. Never really like nano and my main encounters where trying to catch them in an un-nano'd rapier (yeah I can kiss rapier goodbye after nerf). I can tell you from the ew/support side that minmatar are worst in ew and below average in support, I don't consider web ew as it is tackle which we do very good in.
Right now minmatars only strength we have left is tackle. I'm not a pro tackler but from what I've heard ships like claw, broadsword, sabre are some of the best in their class. My problem with having the best tackle is in bigger engagements the difference between a good tackle and a s*** tackle is almost unnoticable. if a claw has a web and a scram on a target the target is effected exact same as if it had a web/scram from a crow. and in a fleet where you are only attacking 2/3 targets (primary, secondary) having more than 3 tackle only serves as backup/replacements. Lastly add in things like h/dictors and anchorable bubbles that make tackle less and less necessary.
I say we need to revive one of minmatars old bonuses.... Always wanted to be able to use the minmatar alpha strike ability (I spent too much time carebearing at start of game... it died before I got to use it) and wouldn't mind seeing it come back.

ok mmore seriously typhoon is a decent ship, got a good tank and good dps though it's all other the place in what it does.

One last thing, May I remind CCP that even if they just **** off 1% of their player base, that because the vast majority of people have 2+ accounts, they are looking at a minimum of a 2% loss in subscriptions. Best to be subtle when changing things, to fart in your clients faces doesn't give you brownie points. It looses you money.

hmm I'd try and argue to wait for it to hit test server or to tell you ccp are aware of the problem but both of those sound of bull sh*t. I've yet to find ccp say anywhere they think there is a problem with minmatar or even say they are looking into it (they are looking into missiles apperantly though)..... odds are it will be a year or so before ccp realise that minmatar have been ****ed and mostly ppl fly them for their rp value. Then we'll only have to wait for a year before ccp decide to hit minmatar with some sort of weird boost that completely changes how they work so we have to retrain for the new thing they do just in time for it to get nerfed again... or maybe they will fix them properly who knows.
anyways in the mean time I'll be flying the scimitar (it's half decent) and the exhumer.
