I was perhaps harsh on you and your questions were indeed formed from ignorance so here it goes. Sniping dreads are evidently dreads with very long range. They were made famous by the now infamous "i'm coming in hot" vid where hydra was trying to kill a nano-gang with them. As they are known from this vid exact fittings are unknown. Sniper - fitted dreads have been used more recently in a non-comedy context in the fighting between pandemic legion and requiem. In this instance the standard fitted dreads were able to warp close to the sniper dreads so any range advantage was lost. Rotation is what the NC does in VFK all day while the GBC kills their pos next door. Different parts of their gang warp to different sniper points at regular untervals. As we have nothing better to do this gives us endless entertainment and has become a running joke. We have no idea why they are doing it. It is also linked to the Hydra video as cries of "oh no they are rotating" were in there beside the sniper dreads and other lovelies. If you haven't seen/heard the hydra vid it is an absolute must. Micro gangs are top secret EXE black-ops and you are not allowed to know about them cos you are mean to us.

Thank you sirs. "Rotateing Snipers" is a tactic where you break your snipers up into 2 or more squads, which each warp in at differnent snipe spots. As one is aligning and about to warp out, the other is in warp and about to land. The idea is to keep a group of snipers on station at all times while protecting them at the same time by being ready to imeadiately warp out. Kinda like Burn Edens Ravens. Micro gangs is a simlar setup. You have Squades of folks, usually teams of at least 5 people per team, with a minimum of 5 teams. they warp in, put some hits on, and warp out. This works well with Nano ships useing ranged weapons. They rarely get closer then 40km's. The idea is never get within web/scram range. Preferably the micro gangs will come in at different angles, picking off the straglers in the opposeing force who range out trying to snag your previous micro gang. Works great at ripping "support/tackle" ships apart. And the sniper dread is usually seen at a POS. Have the Dread go into siege mode "Behind" the POS. Behind being the side that is away from the sun(Or largest cluster of celestial objects). They are usually setup for minimum tank, but maximum damage, and try to single volley hostiles attacking the POS. Generally used with remote sensor boosters to speed up their lock times, and with rapiers/hugins/inties to tackle the opposeing forces. Works will with target painters/Citidal torps as well if they are webbed). These are tactics that you don't see often as they require a larger force(Other then the Snipeing Dread) and usually a well organized force as well. Most gangs/Fleets turn into blobfests when they get over 50 people. So you rarely see these tactics used in game.

It would only be double standards if I referred to the GBC as BoB wouldn't it? And i certainly don't do that. I was talking to a specific alt who likes to give the impression Goonswarm solo'd the GBC to the point of destruction. I also don't even think that alt is actually a goon, just a fanboi, maybe a goon who sits and rats all day and pretends they are actually part of something.

Lighten up, the fact of the matter is, you guys are all held up in VFK, camping both yourselfs and everyone else out whilst the GBC skips around the North taking any station they please, with no or very little threat from NC. If 'rotating' is something you guys need to do, to keep yourselfs entertained then go for it, i guess i'd go mad bored staying in one system whilst everyone else was out fighting, and your opponents took anything you consider of value. But hey, smile, you're doing the right thing, you stick to VFK. _______________
