Why so many christian references in this game?

Much more realistic scenario would be world that takes stuff from Chinese, Indian and African cultures, since by 2040 there is over 5 billion people in Asia, over 2 billion people in Africa. Old world, Northern America and Europe is falling. Future third world war will be fought between China, India and Africa, while NA and Europe will be pets and targets. Outcome from this will be destruction of western culture. There will not be yanks to discover wormholes or jumpgates. Or is backstory just written for christian players? To make them feel better in the world where they constantly are getting kicked in their asses? Like now, Argentina is going to own Falklands again and brits just gets private roads from Cameron Welcome to Pacific Century! CCP should really rethink the backstory of this game... Western culture is going to fade away in about 100 years..

It's common across lots of Sci-Fi. Star Trek had the Genesis Project, for example.

Luckily somone managed to build up against them. There are other culutral refrences from all those nations you mention. Caldari has a large sect of japanese background. Gallente have greek french and bablyonian and possibly chinese Minmatar middile east and africa and maybe some eurasia areas. Personally I would find it quite odd for a game developer in Argentina to use references related to Inuit lore. For example, "Flyff" something I know little about, is a new MMO out of India, and the background story is polytheistic as far as I can tell, and since most Indians are polytheistic, it makes sense.

Just so you know, Argentina is more European than much of Europe. Buenos Aires isn't called the Paris of South America for no reason.

Because it is Old Testament that means it is in the base of all 3 of the major western religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. As for the Asian religions, they kinda reference an Eden of sorts but it gets messed up in translation because its conceptually not the same. Any game on the market today has reference to etiher nations, myths, religion, cults, countries ect.. Why ? Cause it is made of inhabitants on earth who is born and tought those things thorughout school, watching TV, observing real life and so on. Its inevitable.
