dude, i tried this and just kept coming up with nothing. maybe i'm doing it wrong. tried 12 or so different syntax's and topics. nothing...

you need to type the query in the search field - for example
flummox site:myeve.eve-online.com
produces 83 hits - the first of them are:

I tried this in germany so google jumps allways to www.google.de - but this should work in other countries as well.

the reason for it taking so long is however irresponsabely overdue. you'll be happy to know though that the search feature is under heavy design.
caching of search queries and when to update this cache is a critical point here, we don't want to have to run 400 queries in a 10 minute frame that all return the same result. there's an average of 8000 concurrent active users on the forums, be it reading and/or posting ... if just half of those search the market forums for let's say "WTS: XL clarity ward booster I" ... you can imagine how unhappy Mr. SQL server man will be.
again, it's not just "SELECT * FROM forumposts where post = 'search%'" ... if it were that easy, i'd have written that instead of replying explaining why not.
