Wow, 3036m/sec is fast.
2500ish orbit speed most likely. Doesn't speed tank anything at 2500m/s.

Is 'speed tank' code for 'completely invulnerable'?

There is no such thing as "speed tank" after the patch. There is only "sig res tank" and ECM left as an alternative to fitting an active or (large) buffer tank.

6km/s vagas were easilly tracked by my zealot loaded with scorch(and no tracking mods to boot).
You'd have to go like 10km+/s to actually start seeing damage decreases from my zealot.
3km/s is "lol I hit you with megapulse" territory.

explain the sense to me:
Polycarbons now effect Speed and Agility directly - when before they affected mass, which indirectly changed both of these when MWD'ing.
Here's the issue - 2x polycarbons is now similar to 1x aux thruster and 1 x low-fric nozzle. Problem is, polycarbs stack against each other, these 2 mods dont - making polycarbons pointless and completely removing all MASS-REDUCTION rigs from the game. Try your setup again with 3x Nanofiber and 3x Polycarbon. Then 3x Nano, 3x Aux thruster.
You loose agility but get speed. Yes, CCP are worryingly dense sometimes. -------

My current TQ Vaga tops out at around 14k/sec w/o gang bonuses. My Sisi Vaga, not so much...
3+km/sec on Sisi is now 'fast' for a cruiser. Particularly an unrigged one.

all this thread shows is that nanofreak have no clue about tracking and what speed brings unless they can totally break the game engine.
Go Caldari if you cannot play minmatar.

your vaga tops 14000m/s in tq, clearly you must understand why this fix is coming, intercetors should be the fastest ships.

lol? Inerceptors are the fastest ships, if you put faction mods on your interceptor like the guy did on his vagabond your interceptor will go faster...

But seriously, entire tank line destroyed by ccp unless you're an interceptor

Interceptor pilots are also whining...
Actually speeds will become faster in non nano combat. You will be able to move when being primaried by a small gang instead of having several 90% webs on you.

Come on, man. I haven't spent a lot of time fitting uber fits on an interceptor, but I have a crow w/ a Gist B-type (25M), one polycarb, one aux thruster, and a mix of T2 nanos and overdrives in the lows, and when I'm not in my snake set, I hit 8.5km/sec before overload. With overload, it's more like 12km/sec. With snakes + overload + standard x-instinct + gang bonuses, I'm going something over 22km/s.
12km/s for a ship that you can get for like 60M these days is pretty damn fast. Definitely faster than almost all vagabonds.

Can you imagine that there are people with billions on their wallet to afford any stuff they like and with all speed-related skills maxed out but who still do not enjoy current nano age?

I can imagine pilots like myself that have never flown a nano and who doesn't mind the nano age at all.
I don't really mind the nano change, it just sucks that they are willing to completely remove an entire portion of the game just so a vaga can't break 6km/s.
There are a lot of people saying that a 3km/s vaga is "fair". Well sure, but how about the nano ships that go 3km/s now. Why are these broken, and why are they being removed from the game?

i really think this nano nerf is a good thing, starts to get people to think about there setups again and it will finally stop the omg i got killed by a ship which goes fast threads. If you are unable to adapt to changes then you dont have a place in eve because it will always change. Even after this nano 'fix' im pretty damn certain that the whiny members of eve will find something else which beats them and there will be another situation like there is now.
