Amarr and Rens are the other two I know.
Jita is just a failure, and it's sad that so many new players get sucked into it.
So you want security? That's perfectly alright. But you should be willing to trade freedom and profit for that security. |

Amarr is the system in Domain, by the way, and Rens is a system in Heimatar or thereabouts. Sometimes players get the 'Amarr' name confused.

If you are still stuck, make sure you create a petition under the category "stuck." Enter your character name and explain the situation; a GM will tow you to safety as soon as they can

Jita is going to be the closest "hub" to you in the forge. Aside from going to the other hubs that people have already listed, just dont go to Jita on the weekends. --

Also sad to say but its not uncommon for people to get "stuck" in jita on a sunday after 17:00 eve time, it really is best avoided on a sunday evening. Like already said, if you do get stuck, put in a stuck petition, you will usually get moved pretty quickly (within 15 mins from ny experience) ------------- Lost Without a Clue |

You could also try using player couriers. Create an item exchange where you list the items you have bought and specify a station where you want them taken. Then provide collateral (at least as much as you just paid) and a reward (10% for certain, sometimes 5%).
You will find that this gets most things delivered to you within a couple of hours. I've never known such a contract to fail and even the worst ones have been delivered by the time I next log in. This has worked for me and I'm usually six or seven jumps from Jita.
It's not suitable for ships or very high value items but for your typical ship modules and ammo and it's great. -- (Sarcastic mission running veteran, 4+ years)

That's weird, I was stuck jumping for 30 minutes last night, and a GM said they could do nothing as it was a server problem - not a GM issue.

The Heimater/Metropolis border is a nice place to live and work.
With the trade hubs of Rens and Hek and the upcomming Pator system relativly close together there are great opportunities for cross region trading as well as a quick trip into the hazardus area of COSMOS to sharpen your pilot wits.
Hek is a short jump from Sinq Liason and a gateway into Gallente space. Rens sits nicely on the Ammatar border and should help keep the smell of the hoodies at bay.
With Amamake perfectly situated between both theese nice trade hubs you can sign up to the Militia and support your brothers in arms against the Amarrian plague.
All in all its a nice place to live. Or indeed come visit.

I once had to go thru Jita to get to the other side of the region and there was no way around Jita (hell what is it 7 system going in to Jita?) cant they reroute some jumps there so you dont have to go thru jita?,make it a deadend system plx.
Oh and i petitioned as soon as i got stuck and got towed to the other side in about 4 minutes, record breaking petition time for me.

Amarr is a decent enough trade hub for most things, and a mere three jumps away you can visit Tash-Murkon Prime which also has hub status, IMO.

If you're there for the trading, it's also worth getting the various remote trading skills — you only need them to lvl2-3 to begin with — and buy and sell within Jita without ever entering the system itself.
Then, a couple of times a week during off-hours, you fly a hauler through there and pick up what you've bought.

That statement is unture. I was in YAO and because a fleet war had overloaded that system i could not log in. A GM told me he could not move me for both parties overloading the system. So couldnt play for a day.. Yet if your in jita you can be moved?

Pretty much exactly my case, only with 2R-CRW and for 30 minutes (although I've heard reports that pilots were stuck 'in-jump' for upto 45 minutes).
Seems that the GMs are happy to move lagged pilots in empire, but in 0.0 it's not their problem.

I would say that GMs are not allowed to interfere with unresolved PvP encounters. Imagine the backlash:"GMs help my opponent, WAAAAAH!!" You wouldn't want to see that really, people would be invoking T20 all over the place.

I find it intriguing how trade hubs have evolved. Ever since Yulai was nerfed, the two blocs of nations have gone entirely separate ways. Amarr and Caldari have both gone down the incredibly centralised route of trade hubs evolving in their capital constellations in a very well connected system; Amarr and Jita respectively.
However, Minmatar and Gallente have opted for more a far more decentralised hub system. You will never see more than 200-400 people max in Oursulaert, despite there being almost as many Gallente players as Caldari and Gallente space being very highly populated. There are several hubs in Gallente space, most of which have evolved out of necessity; Oursulaert, Dodixie and Aunia all evolved into hubs out of need from the many mission runners there and the gankers who hit them, Orvolle has evolved into a hub simply for being an excellent leaving point into low-sec or 0.0, and Villore is slowly evolving into one primarily for being the main staging area of the Gallente militia. I daresay that part of this is due to the fact that until now Villore, the administrative capital, and Luminaire, the actual capital, have both been relatively out of the way and do not lie on any major trade routes.
Minmatar is less decentralised, but you still have Rens, Pator and Hek out there. To some extent, the small size of Minmatar space in comparison with Gallente, Caldari and especially Amarr space means that fewer hubs are needed, but the ones that they have are all at key points.

Yeah I'm not really imaginative so I just took the first 4 characters from a serial number somewhere, and as to how to pronounce it, just spell it out.
Nice personal attack btw, you almost hurt my feelings
As for trade hubs... they will evolve, and maybe some day the main hub will move from jita to some other place, maybe even back to yulai, but they will definitly become bigger and more laggier, be prepared, avoid them like a nasty std.

Unresolved to whom though? It was certainly unresolved to me as I was starting at a blank screen the entire time (despite attempts to relog).
The backlash wouldn't be so bad, as long as it was a uniform decision. Now, what if the OP was at war with another corporation and lose his ship through Jita lag? What if the OP was simply suicide ganked whilst Jita lagged? At what point does a "loss through PvP" become unavoidable because the victim cannot do anything about it?
It's not like CCP didn't know there was going to be a fight, those cluster of systems has routinely had 200+ pilots in them for the past two weeks.
