EveRefinery is a Windows program that displays market prices and refined prices for the items in your inventory. Thus, you can quickly decide whether to sell or refine each piece of your loot. It can also be handy for different activities, since it displays item prices in one big list, thus allowing to analyze the market.
This is not a virus. If you're a paranoid one, you can get sources at SourceForge
If you like the program - please, spread the word. ISK Donations are also welcome! Website Screenshot Development
Current features:
- Show totals for items in your assets. Wonder how much money do you have in loot?
- Show all refinable items in one list
- Each line is colored from green (refine it) to red (sell it)
- Limit the list to the assets of a specific character
- Limit the list to the assets at a specific station
- Show contents of specific containers
- Items inside containers are optionally included
- Advanced mineral prices web update
- Select prices for any region
- Support for non-perfect refining
- Refining efficiency calculator
- Select any of the price types, such as Buy-Max (the maximum price people are paying to buy an item) or Sell-Median (mean price people request for an item)

Been using it for months. Awesome program.
Was so sick of click/selling mission loot/salvage and always wondering if I was missing out cause I couldn't be bothered checking market on each item.
Fire up refinery, import your loot, go through and refine what's profitable, sell the few remaining items.
Awesome when you've carted 100,000m3 of loot to Jita. |

I would like to be able to get prices from just one station instead of a whole region though. |

I've recently started using this program and it has been extremely helpful. However, and I believe it was mentioned in the old forum, copy and paste functionality would greatly increase usability. Perhaps a double click over the information e.g. Item name, could add it to the clipboard. This would be a godsend to me personally and I am sure to many others as well.
Thanks for a great program, I look forward to future developments! |

Hi,
I've recently update my character to the new API format. I updated EveRefinery, entered the new API (everything ticked) and I keep getting a response of 'Failed to updated user XXXXX: Failed to get User Information'.
Any suggestions or doesn't EveRefinery work with new API formats yet? |

Thanks so much for putting together a great program for us to use. I have used it successfully in the past and then it seemed to stop working. When I would go to udate the prices I would get an exception error saying error 502 bad gateway. Windows says that I am running .net 4.0 and I have been using it for some time now without issue.
System Net WebException: The remote server returned an error: (502) Bad Gateway.
Do i need to uninstall 4.0 and install 3.5?
Do you know of a way I can tell for sure what version .NET i am running? Vista 64 bit latest SP

The application is not handling getting back a 502: Invalid Gateway error from the remote host. Eve-Central has been going offline and throwing 502: Invalid Gateway errors a lot over the past couple of weeks. Sometimes it's only down for a minute, but I can remember a couple Sundays ago it was offline the entire day.
It's not a problem with EveRefinery per se, but the developer does need to put a handler in the price fetching routine that will tolerate getting something back from the pricing site that isn't what is expected. |

A request for update to a great program. On the CSV export can you remove the spaces in the numbers. So instead of the sell price being 49 823 it is 49823, will make it easier to work with in other programs and excel. |

Good program, thanks for making it :)
I'd like to second the above request for the spaces to be removed when exporting to csv, or alternatively it would be even better if it simply displayed the total sell price for the items it knows the sell prices for and ignored the unknown items.
An easy current work around is to:
Export as a csv Highlight all of the numbers with spaces in that you want to remove Do Ctrl+H In the 'find' box put a space Leave the replace box with nothing in Click 'Find and replace'
This will replace all spaces with nothing, effectively removing them, then you can just do an auto sum, select all of the sell prices and it will give you their total sell prices so you can get an idea of how much they're worth. |

Ok, the removal of spaces seems reasonable. Was even going to implement right away, but turns out it will require some rework in order to keep spaces for HTML while removing them in CSV. |

Most columns in the interface are straightforward to match with Eve Online and understand their function, but a couple seem not to relate to Eve. What is or where do the values come from to populate the column 'Sell Price'? It doesn't seem to match the market prices even after playing with the settings and comparing to what I see in Eve.

Your program is fantastic SUPER UBER MARVELOUS.
But there are some things missing: - A tutorial (it needs one) - Chance to remove stuff from the list (example: right-click "delete this item from list" or "grey this out of the list), so to have still a reliable list once you're done with some of the items. - Some items must be renamed (some shields and armor hardeners have different names) - chance to choose from where to load mineral's prices. |

Thank you.
The program's intention was to assist in refining. Unrefinable items were out for a reason. The continued efforts to subvert that intention leaves me... Unsure. Keeping program lean and nice, as opposed to overbloated ones, is what seems to be best. Still, that could have a point. Maybe. I will think about. |

Hi Codeguard,
Thanks so much for this great program.
Is there any way to get the quantity of a market order listed in the quantity column, rather than just quantity of your own toons items?

It won't help. The next thing you'll run into is inability to update prices. I can only suggest that you find a way to not be behind a proxy. C'mon, it's 21th century out there. Get yourself a configurable router that will bypass proxy for example. |

Hi,
Some quick questions. I am not very good at using software btw.
So what is refined cost and sell price means? Kinda confused.
Lets say under my total-known parts row, the refined cost is about 1b and the sell price is about 2b so does this means i make 2b total profit from selling all the loot?
Also lets say a module is green in colour and i should refine it. Lets say, 125mm railgun I 59703 (Refined Cost) 86999 (sell cost)
How do you interprete this? |

Refined price is what you get if you sell minerals obtained from refining. Sell price is what you sell for on market. Please note that all prices are not perfectly accurate, there's no way to get perfectly accurate ingame prices. It is also very important what price type do you choose.
It is corect that 2b sell totals means you get 2b for selling on market.
EveRefinery has an option to ignore small selling advantages, hence the green.

Millions and millions of thanks to you, Codeguard - 1 for every ISK I've earned using your excellent app!
I'm very happy with its form and functionality, but there's one aspect which I find a little frustrating, and two other small suggestions I'd like to make:
I use this almost daily to purchase off the market to reprocess for profit, but when updating the prices I often find they're out of date - items remain on the list which are no longer there. Am I missing some tweak, or does the price averaging necessarily ignore moment to moment changes? My 2 cents, being able to update to real-time prices and availability would be immensely useful.
Being able to filter based on Sec would also be useful. Granted, I can check this fairly easily in Eve, but have made a few rash purchases in a state of excited haste.
I'd love to have a column which compared Delta to Volume, to easily see ISK/m3.
That's it. Thanks again, and your cheque is in the mail

Any idea on how to fix this ?

Cholly Chi, I use eve-central.com to retrieve prices. There's no way to retrieve ingame. Hence the delays, not perfectly accurate prices. Filtering by security would be rather difficult and I believe is not something i'm going to implement in the nearest future. Delta to volume... Not sure. Maybe. As for Pax Amarria, that's what EVE database reports. Probably they are, in fact, refinable.
Skyfar , My best suggestion would be trying it again and doing all those typical steps like restarting your computer, deleting and starting over and such.

- Filtering & searching
- Removing items from assets by hand
- Adding ALL items, not just refinable
- Second prices column

Great program, was exactly what I was hoping for :)
Questions:
Delta - can you give a brief explanation of this? It's showing as the exact negative value of the 'sell cost' column on all items.
Refined Cost - this shows as "0.0" on all items. What is this?
Loss % - this shows as "100%" on all items. What is this referring to?
Imperfect Refining Efficiency & Station Standings - how do we set these variables, or are they somehow done automatically through API?
Why the crazy long delay timer on assets updating? i'm showing 6 hours. Is this normal?

First of all a great thanks for such a great program.
Now to my question.
Codeguard , I just hit a 504 Gateway timeout error now in every attempt to pull data from eve-central(mineral prices/sell or by prices) i would like to ask if there is maximum time where we can do requests to eve-central per time period ? or could it be some bug in the coding, i have tried deleting everything except the updater and re updated eve refinery but it will still show the 504 Gateway timeout error.
Note that i am currently playing eve now so its not possible that my internet connection is down and going to eve-central's website is fine with me o.o
Detail of the error is as below

Hm, I do lik the program overall, great idea and seems to at least partially work as intended!
Problem i'm finding is that items shown on the list aren't often there in system(update lag maybe?) and more often than not, all the reprocess numbers seem to be higher than they actually are, despite having set the station effiecency and tax, and taking account into my skills as well. For instance, an item might say its sell value is 700,000isk and refine value is at 2mil or so, but upon refining, its actually only around 1.4 |

Could be that the mineral prices are outdated for the system. Someone could have sold a big chunk of minerals that crashed the price on the market before you.
What I usually do is to load the BuyMax value for the system in the options , check the buy value for the minerals on the markets in eve. tweak as necessary. That should get you the proper price.
So far , I have not lost isk while using this program , except for that one time where I was half asleep and bought above the refine price of goods(thankfully it was less than a million in losses). In 1 month of usage, I have made quite alot from buying>refining>selling minerals.

The prices on items are indeed not very accurate, i have explained that many times above. The discrepancy you observe should be due to the lag, wrong price type selected, wrong mineral prices, or incorrect refine skills selected. You can identify a specific issue by doing step-by-step checks, starting with checking the mineral prices and refined amounts. |

Nice program, I have been wanting to make one myself (i've been using a spreadsheet for it) but your program has the basic stuff to look for: manual entry of mineral prices, combined mineral price and item location parsing. I have never used the prices from the usual 3rd party sources, because I feel that it gets outdated fast. Instead I run EvE in a window, with the EveRefineryUpdater beside it and I pass thru all my loot for all items that I can sell (rightclick, sell, compare, decide, save special/underpriced items). After that all I have left will be the items that will be reprocessed.
Is there a way to get bigger fonts? Or to turn off all of the row markings/colors?
Last thing - I hope the manual entry of the minerals would be organized so that it reflected how the EvE market displays it. It is listed like this:
Isogen Megacyte Mexallon Morphite Noxcium Pyerite Tritanium Zydrine
...and the way you arranged it looks like you based it with the most common thru rarest (or according to price). My first spreadsheet also listed it that way but after so many times manually updating it, I remade it to match how EvE displays it. But really, its just a small thing.
Why manually update mineral prices? Because oftentimes I choose where to sell my minerals, which is sometimes not the highest (top) price. Sometimes it will be on another nearby station, or the one that will take enough quantity. ***** I'm just a newb so let me get my bearings first and I'll send over a package for you as thanks. |

Hello there!
First off:: AWESOME Program.
Allright, here is my problem: the program won't import my assets for some reason. Well, it says it does, but then I go to a specific station I have loot in, and it only shows 1 item (Hammerhead II, for some reason). It looks like it works perfectly for NPC Stations, but not Player-owned Stations (Outposts).
The API is the one suggested (https://support.eveonline.com/Pages/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fapi%2fkey%2fcreatepredefined%2f2), and its set to 'infinity' (no expiration). I wonder what I'm doing wrong.
Is there a limitation to the program? Am I doing something wrong? I'm eager to hear your answers...

I made sure that the detection update had not come in that day, and found that it had been installed over a week before. But again, I can't say for sure that this software was the cause, but several of us got it and the only thing that we all did in common was download this software. seriously? you need a program that teaches you to look up market details in-game and make your own choices to refine or sell? besides that if it says it's a virus it's a virus, even if doesn't screw up your computer, poor programming = security holes that leads to viral infection |

You would rather look through thousands of m3 worth of unsorted loot and take the time deciding what to do with each piece, when you can just use this program, pick out the few items worth money, courier contract them to Jita? .

This tool is a great piece of work. Thank you. I hope you keep it up to date as you say. I haven't come across a better tool for this task so far. |

Hi! Neat app.. Though I found a bug..
If you happen to leave on Norton when run for the first time, Eve Refinery throws an unhandled exception pointing at access control issues on the port it is trying to use. Your error handling might need a little tweak to gracefully handle the error.
Beyond that, I have been having a good time with you app. Thanks for releasing it!
(If loathe the error control shuffle, I could probably help in my free time.. ping me if you are interested..)
Cheers! |

You would sort the loss column so that negative numbers were on top, the more negative that number, the larger the margin of mineral value over sell value, if I remember correctly. |

Sorry for the slow answers. For whatever reason, I don't get any e-mail notifications even though I subscribed to thread.
Regarding Norton and port error issues: Can you please elaborate? Screenshots and a fuller description if possible. Feel free to e-mail me, my e-mail can be found in program's About.
Regarding the sorting: The answer is correct, you should just sort by appropriate column. However, it's unclear why would you want that. Sort by type could be best for you because it matches the in-game sorting, and if you run Eve windowed, it gets quite convenient! |

A brilliant tool - and YES I would still find it very useful if it reflected the recent changes to refining and reprocessing yield based on skills.
Keep up the good work - a great tool. |

I have set the mineral prices, even changed regions and systems to see if that made a difference. |

Outpost information is (finally) implemented. You can still have "unknown location" if you hurry to look at it before the information is loaded for the first time. |

Can you please update your app to use Framework 4.0 instead of 3.5. I am using Windows 8.1 and there is only Framework 4.0 is installed by default. Of course I can download 3.5 , but I do not want to waste space on my SSD. And EVEmon, for example, works fine without any additional libraries. |

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is it possible to see a compression/expansion ratio? so in addition to if I should refine or not, whether I should refine prior to shipping or not. |
