That could be the movies title...
Plot line...
The Introduction of a series of Movies. or Short Films.
Introductions to Amarr, Minmatar, Caldari, & Gallente Races and their settlements and disputes in eve.
Then Breaks of with Amarrian Amnesty, Caldari Conflicts, Minmatar Migrations, & Gallente Grace.
Then finally "The Jovian Threat".
Just a Thought... What do you think?
Could be interesting to see CCP make a series of Short films for back story.
Maybe even a Feature Film?

Sounds like a great way to lose a ton of dough. How did the CCG and charging for EVE-voice work out for CCP? Meh I hope ccp wouldn't do throw away money on a silly low budget movie based on an imaginary spaceship MMORPG.

I dunno... they do a good job on the trailers... they might be able to focus time and effort on their short 15-30min Films... Giving a great visual Background to Eve? and the Feature Film might be a good idea to the general public to put out on limited #'s of dvd's.

How did they do that in clear skies... the walking people... i wanted to make a type of thing like that but as a series of shows... like the star trek next generations with all the fleet battles and different ships... :)... i want a British captain... :)

Yeah, clear skies was really top notch and done well...for an amateur video maker and player.
And did he make any money out of it? CCP losing money makes me sad as that might means less money going towards development of EVE (aka solving lag and other ****)

I would be happy with just concept art and narrator over the top, like the introduction movie we currently have.

it is high time for a gritty sci fi movie or tv series.
eve would be the perfect backdrop.

Selling limited rights would be an okay idea.. but make sure that you keep creative control... else it will suck!

If the Eve forum were a movie prop it would be the overflowing pig crap silo in the Simpsons Movie.
Also, Clear Skies was done with the Second Life engine IIRC.

Yes, because we all know that didn't work out very well for the companies that made movies based on imaginary comic book characters.

i don't think EVE is big enough to have a movie of it. Okay you can kill me now.
Also it might be dangerous to say we want an EVE movie, Uwe Boll might randomly go on this forum and decide that would be a great idea. And i sudder to think of an EVE movie in Uwes hands.

Maybe when i said feature film i said to much.. but think about it the short trailer films they do... with the ambulation project on the rise they could make a movie by simply using the in game system and a screen capture device/program.

Clear Skies was actually done in the Source engine, made by Valve (HL2), he combined the two engines with very good film editing.
But seriously, more people should have some type of spacer in their sigs to show it's not part of the post.
