Problem with T2 BPOS is the way they were put into this game. Same could be said about apotheosis (or whatever that shuttle is called), but shuttle doesn't bring you steady income and T2 BPO does.
Every comparison you've made with T2 BPOs is false. Everything in eve and life is at "same for all" principle, it's just that that "same" is too much for some people. So anyone can create political party, overthrow goverment, install communist system and watch his wallet getting fatter while his people suffer. Add to that an arsenal of nuclear weapons and NATO and USA will keep their muth shut and stay out of your bussines. North Korea will prolly help you and you can scamm them :p
Also everything else in eve is up for grabs. Everything but T2 BPOs. There is no way to get T2 BPO except from another player. No other item in game is like that (that funny shuttle and similar excluded). And T2 BPOs stick out like sore thumb because you can make money from them. Anyone can see how much material is needed on researched T2 BPO and how much material you need through invention process. There is a difference and it gets bigger with increasing item value (bigger stuff requires more datacores, maybe even decryptor, you don't get 100% yield from invention, you can't research BPCs, etc.).
I just don't understand why people still claim that T2 BPOs do not make profit. If inventor can make profit on item which has T2 BPO, then said BPO holder can make even more profit per run. There is possibility that inventor can outproduce BPO owner, but that is different story.
CCP did a bad thing giving T2 BPOs through lottery (we'll leave those bob T2 BPOs alone here :p) and then cancelled it, denying newer players same chance.
BTW I did participate in lottery and got ship BPO and make tons out of it. No inventor will ever be able to match my price, I will always have more profit per run than any inventor in this game. And it's just because I started playing a year before others.
P.S.: For T2 BPO list explore market.... T2 BPOs are listed on market (although none can be bought as stock is 0), so if you don't see T2 BPO in there it doesn't exist.
