Including Warp and missile effects, nothing annoys me more than screen shake effects, developers please allow us the ability to disable screen shake without having to turn missiles off completely Working for you the players, development threads:

Yes, it should be an option for those who want it, and also that screen shake effect does seem to have an FPS reducing affect on some lower end computers. I've had the opportunity to use eve classic on two completely different computers, and can notice a difference in FPS when the screen starts shaking on the older slower comp.

Zooming out on warp doesn't help and even in combat you have to zoom out completely to see any change and by then you can't target/see anything anyways so might as well turn your monitor off :) Working for you the players, development threads:

everyone in a large fleet fight fights completely zoomed out to reduce FPS lag, and htey use the overview to select targets, so thats not really valid.

I like to watch the pretty things, but screen shake can be sickness inducing for those with less than cast-iron constitutions.

Talking about mission BTW and hey were on the same side jeez! now if they would give us control of this feature maybe they would sneak in text sizes larger that 12pt this game really hurts my eyes after a long time

Screen shake is kinda annoying and unnecessary from a 3rd person point-of-view. A subtle shimmy of just the ship would suffice. If there were a ****pit view, then...yeah, for realism, enable screen shake.

Perhaps the ability to increase/decrease intensity as well as completely disabling it would be a convenient solution |

Same here. Some day it isn't so bad, other times I definitely get nauseous. I'm not really sure why Eve's shaking is different - I don't get ill playing other games. Weirdness.

Signed for the dozenth time over the last few years...
Better would be to make your shield flicker or similar - maybe have the shield wobble instead. If you're taking armor damage, then the ship itself starts getting bounced around. But the star-field is rock solid in the distance.
