d rather than c. Tho i admit BoB put a lot of efforts into this so they had their influence too. May be 20% out of total. Other 80% percents were more related to the internal RA processes, not linked to any BoB acitivities against RA.

Its not like the space they own is gonna go neutral though right? I mean, I'm sure there will be a lot of sov drop but those folks have to go somewhere. And the this creates a vac, which will only pull in more of their neighbors.

I'd agree it's interesting, and if I were un-nat, I'd gobble some up if there was anything good in there.
Heck, why not put some neutral alliance in there and let them try their hand at it? They'd get steamrolled, but not if they had an agreement with the powerhouse of the area. I'd like to start seeing more of the alliances that are "new" that want to hold space but can't because they're too affraid of what will happen. I say, screw it, just roll the dice and see what happens.
What am I saying? I'd prolly be in a fleet shootin those pos's within the week they'd set up anyway.

The intel I've recived about this is that one of the realy big corps in RA were leaving to join AAA. How good this intel is, not sure. But the source I do trust quite a bit.

It was introduced in a BoB thread from last week, not sure where it went maybe killed for various reasons. With that in mind I'll try to play devils advocate and maybe suggest a few things that could happen with this event.
Short term
The 'threat' of RA doing anything to almost anyone has been around for a good long time. I was around in 0.0 during the C-J6 siege and how they held that off with simply 'True grit'. Right after that they hot dropped ERA's caps (the video is on YouTube) and kept their already fierce reputation growing. So in the short term if the "Red Alliance" disappears we might actually see more fighting take place since many alliances that say "we can't fight them, that's RA!" might go into fights not knowing who they actually are going to be facing. After all, the tag is only changing, not the player and his/her abilities.
Low sec
This one is kinda iffy, it's no secret many, many low sec moons, reactions, and various systems have been under RA alt control for years and years now. How the split up is going to effect those systems and those lower grade reactions is anyones guess. They aren't dyspo or prom moons, but a reaction that makes 600 mill a month 2 jumps from empire isn't that bad.
0.0
As has been said (not confirmed yet by anyone in RA or the associated alliances) the various corps will join different alliances and take the stations and their assets with them. This shouldn't effect to much, tho there might be some 'disagreements' on which constellations, regions or stations go to who. I doubt it will lead to war, but there might be some egos bruised if not handled right.
Regions like Great Wildlands, Curse, and Syndicate might have some local alliances make strikes at local ex-RA assets(moons) in the transition. The threat of RSF entities bashing these local alliances is still present, but assets could get lost in the shuffle as alliance leaders and players get angry that their 'entity' is going away and not report it, or not login, etc. etc.
Other alliances
There is of course the ever looming threat of BoB to come crashing down right during this mess and charge into insmother while all sov 3's have dropped to sov 1's and begin messing up the whole works. After all they always look for good fights and going into one of the ex-RA home regions would not only split the RSF allied bloc almost in half, but it would open the door to the back yard of the Goonswarm, TCF and United Legion's sov 4 'clusters' in Scalding Pass, Wicked Creek, Detroid, Tenerifis and Omist.
Timing
The timing for this works two ways, one good and one bad. On the good side, BoB, probably the only power atm that could pull off an invasion that would net alot of those outposts and systems. Is hip deep in the north slugging it out with the NC, could they do a 180 and charge all the way into Insmother and bust year upon year long blue multi region safe zone? Probably, tho the distances and sheer logistics they'd have to pull off would be painful for all alliances involved.
On the bad side, same as above, BoB could say "no jammer shooting? Earl, get the van!" Everyone in this game has begun to detest jammer take downs, with literally 3 regions worth of outposts opening up and the goons next door it could be a very tempting time. Distance could stall BoB's hand, as could current engagements.
However, the NC is currently reeling from the dagger in the gut that is Fade, Pureblind and Dek. BoB could realize that leaving a few allies behind could keep this situation going for months and head down while the NC tries to recover. After all, with Tri and various BoB allies up there the situation is very fluid.
I have tried to keep this neutral stance wise, I believe most leaders would realize this so it's not 'vital info' to mention. If anything we might see a good discussion on CAOD ....... for a change.

Maybe Solar Fleet/Goonswarm can give you a lower monthly fee than BoB and if you act quick enough you can get a really nice constellation to rat/mine/pvp in before they are all taken! |
