If you are looking to lose your ship in Federation low sec I would suggest Rancer.

Edited by: BloodBird on 24/08/2008 01:47:07 Ofcourse, Rancer. I had forgoten about that system.
Thank you for offering an example on a pirate-infested Federation system, though I'd be glad if we had none to speak of.
Anyone know of a good Amarrian example?

Originally by: Lao Zuki Before your corps decides to join the Caldari Militia, you should know that many corps - and individual pilots - join the Caldari Militia in order to use blue status to shoot other Militia members. This is known as blue piracy.
Two latest examples:-
Militia pirates intentionally shooting blues in the carrier battle in Heydieles 8-17-08 at 20:40;
Militia pirates intentionally shooting blues in Rancer (which is normally a death trap system, but was 100% Caldari Militia at the time when killings occurred) 8-18-08 at 16:58.
The Caldari Militia tolerates these blue pirates and does nothing to police their own.
The Caldari Militia responds to complaints about blue pirates by telling victims to "stop whining." Please remember posts in this forum must be in character - Mitnal
Before you consider joining the Caldari Militia, you should be aware that many of them may be pirates who have no problems killing you and your corps mates.
Our little corps is pulling out of the Caldari Militia. Big mistake joining.

as i posted in the thread about the corporation "duty" leaving the caldari militia, again, i commend you for your right decisions, and also as i said, if you could simply convince your fellow ex-milita members to lay down arms, and surrender to the mighty federation, all will be appeased, there is no more need for these pointless mass murders of caldari milita in MANY of our engagments, and now you have even lost your ability to hold your own solar systems, your government and way of life is falling apart, i beg of you, for your own sake, lay down all of your arms, and be brought under the protection of the greatest empire in New Eden, and this, entire brutal war that has dragged on for the last 3 months will be forgotten

I'm not sure about its current status, but back when I was in the Imperial Academy at the beginning of my capsuleer career the system Mai in the Domain region was virtually synonymous with 'pirate gatecamp'.
That said, it seems the Caldari Militia aren't the only ones with this issue - the Minmatar militia is dealing with a people pirating its own members! ----------------------------------------------
Say "Amarr ships suk, lol." I dare you.

while i havent witnessed this "blue piracy" youve talked abuot, i do agree with you in saying that at least some caldari "milita" are nothing more than low-life piratets
i was with my ex corporation (as i left the corporation to assist with the purging of caldari from our universe) i was scouting for them in minmatar space for a "project" and had to cut through some Minmatar low security space, as i jump through i run into a gate camp, all flashing red on my targeting sensors indicating they were indeed deemed criminals by concord, and also noticed on my registry scanners that they were in fact part of the caldari milita, luckily i was in a frigate class ship and able to escape quite easily, but it did suprise me, i mean, they are caldari after all, but being a part of the caldari milita, i would think they would have more honor (whatever it means to the caldari anyways) than shooting neutral citizens

I take a bit of offense to being called a "low-life". While I'm sure my comm system messed up and I'm pretty sure "piratets" should have came across as "Pirates", I gladly wear that title... though I do prefer to think of it as hostile acquisition of property (whether it be ISK or physical properties).
As for being involved with the Militia... purely profit margins. What better way to find someone than to have them tell you, or have them report to you? Saves a lot of time and effort of the hunting game if they feel safe... Lull them into a false sense of security, then WHAM! Profit.
Don't trust your enemies, trust your friends even less, and trust those you don't know none at all.

Since the purging of the less committed entities inside the militia, very little or non cases of blue piracy has occurred. Entities known to apply such methods as the united has been blocked by the fellow militia corporations and the soldiers advised to not participate on their fleets.
Blue piracy control is easily solved with organization and this is a fact all militias are trying to achieve.
