Several times the name is dropped in Local chat, and alot of forumers seem to really respect this man/woman. Its quite nice knowing there is such a thing as EVE royalty. It's kinda like having an upper class to which all the lowers must adher to and strive to be like. Trendsetters for the modern era. Hmm. And it seems you can introduce Chribba like you would the Stig. some say he mines...in a dreadnought. and that he eats asteroids serving as refugee camps - for a mid-noon snack. Who is Chribba, and why is he special? I ask this to all who have a view. Most curious!

(EVE-files, EVE-Agents, EVE-Search, EVE-offline, etc.) He also runs a 3rd party exchange service, holding the money and item in question so that neither of the involved parties gets scammed out of a lot of assets. He is also the owner of one of the few remaining Capital Ships in High-sec (a Revelation class Dreadnought, in the Amarr system).

Beyond establishing himself as the Lord of Veldspar, he is also the benchmark by which third-party brokers are measured. He has built and maintained several vital community websites: eve-search, eve-files, eve-offline, eve-agents, and possibly others that I have forgotten about.

But jest aside, he simply does good things for the community. I'm most definitely not saying he's the only one who does that but he does a pretty decent job about it. Good enough that sometimes I worry that IGE will come along and buy all the shares in Chribba to use his reputation to sell their illegal goods. God knows they could use the publicity, they haven't had ISK for sale for ages now (Remember kids, winners don't do RMT).

But so many questions come from this. My (wrong) knowledge dictates that Caps are not allowed in Empire. So I'm guessing that this used to be the case before some patch, and that after the wars, Chribba had one of them left. When he flies it out of Empire, he will never be able to return in it...?

You used to be able to anchor capital assembly arrays in high sec (and therefore also BUILD capitals in high sec), Once you left the system though you could, and still can't, never return. Then the CAA's became unable to be anchored in high sec, But the ones already anchored still continued to function, Pumping out capitals for a while. Some time later the already anchored CAA's became unanchored, Meaning that now you are unable to get any new capitals into high sec in any way. Chribba happens to have a revelation around from those days in the Amarr system, And uses it to mine veldspar :p

The Earth in turn, crapped itself and produced Scotland. Chribba does not mine Veldspar. Veldspar voluntarily finds it's own way into his cargo out of respect. Chribba was once confronted by a fleet of hostile pirates. Chribba simply jettisoned all of his veldspar and the entire pirate fleet exploded in sheer amazement. Chribba is the only player in EVE to not fly in a pod simply because there is no pod big enough to hold his e-pen!s. Only dreadnoughts are big enough, but just barely.
