I love solo pvp, it is the best feeling when u pull things off, but as with all things there are side affects e.g dying alot, unexpected counters to your strategy.
I personally. in solo pvp fit my ships to tank more than 1 ship cause eve isnt about the 1v1's, whoever you decide to target will bring friends if they have any close..
CCP has realesed more than enough upgrades in the last 10 months to get the edge on most pvper's in eve...

I pirate solo on a fairly regular basis (small ships though). For solo work, I'll either take frigate-sized ships or something which can gank a lot (to give me good odds of killing a target and getting out before his friends arrive).
However, I'm not averse to gang activities either. There's things you just can't do without a gang.

Inties may not need nannos but the abilty for them to run around bar bubles untackled is the the same thing as inertial nanno hacs/recons and cruisers ecept for the HP and in warp speed. The op is missing the BS BC non nanno cruiser sized ships.
The big focus being if u come in a ship that warps slow u wont get a decent solo fight. The only way is to ask for one ( and hope they arent a weekling joker and bring in there whole gang). Many things add to this over time, killboard stats/the amount of players and 0.0 leaders/mechanics that force u to blob.
Id sugest joining one of these solo pvp channels if all u want is one v ones. Dont exspcet any roaming gang to sudenly tell half the gang to take a walk so one person can fight u solo,,,
as for solo inty fights , they have been missing with dictors and bubles but are rife in FW and all of them damn fun fights... this is ur best bet if u dont want to arrange a solo fight, trying to move around in a big ship with lots of hungry eyes watching u with alts/ coverts for sure is not fun these days.

Solo pvp is dead imo, if you dont have a falcon/logistics alt you will have a pretty hard time killing anything more menacing than an indy on a regular basis. |

I use this character for solo and my other for gangs.
Grab a HAC and head into 0.0 or a bc and go lowsec. Even highsec has pvpers /o\
Last night i had 6 1v1's lost two but was all in good fun. |

Our corp almoste always fights solo vs blob.
we die allot :) however we make some awsome kills aswell..
if u need a decent corp and you got some decent skilz let me know |

1v1s normally take very little piloting skill, depending on the shiptype. It's all about SP+ISK most the time 
Now, if you were truely skillful, you wouldn't be getting ****d by gangs...

Thats what brigsby5987 does is jam multiple targets. Problem is they blob so hard now its just not possible for one person thats dual accounting or even triple accounting for that matter to be able to pull it off. I guess ill just keep doing what ive been doing, trying to get solo, dying instead, and just leading gangs even though I get no particular enjoyment out of it. lol.

Funny how people ignore things like that and carry on whining about how solo is impossible. I used to do something like that in a geddon too. Sure you die a lot but I like to think that solo kills are worth more than gang kills.

Im considering exploring the industry/carebear side of eve as I am pretty frustrated at this point.
About the only thing that makes me happy pvp wise is getting outnumbered fights that at least give me some chance of winning or killing something.
Lately the blobs are coming so hard you have no chance.
Discuss. and no I am not quitting, you cant have my stuff, my power level is over 9000 and I am doing a barrel roll.

If CCP cuts the HP back to half what it was in the start we shall be able to solo PVP once more.. the fun times what it once was.. everyone had half hp it was times you could take out maybe 1 or two people now its just 1 if ur lucky,
I remember can attacking a brutix & a tech 1 frig.. they both attacked me & I destoryed them both =) good old times.
I guess you could run two clients with a alt usen a falcon if you want to solo .

Well, let's be honest, 140 of those kills were capsules and haulers. But still an impressive amount of activity.
And you illustrate for the OP how solo PvP can be done: in an Interceptor, HAC or Recon attacking targets of opportunity. In fact, flying in low sec as the OP does, one could make the argument for EAS and SBs - if you're willing to go far enough off the beaten path to avoid the large roaming blobs.
New to FW, I have only tried a few times to go behind enemy lines, but I'm told if you go deep enough, solo engagements can indeed be found. You just have to get behind the blob.

Jump Drives and Jump Bridges did more to kill small scale PVP then anything else. It used to be that you had to fly your ship into low/null sec. Now every **** ant 0.0 NPC corp has a carrier to do logistics, and the 0.0 owning alliances use titans to jump bridge multiple freighters.
So now you can't pirate haulers moving valuable in 0.0, or the ships moving into the regions and 0.0 alliances are easier for everyone so you get a lot more people in 0.0 that lead to blobs.
If CCP Nerf jump drives or add 0.0 space with no jump drives and no POS then it would cater to the peole that enjoyed the small scale 0.0 fights of 2 years ago.

Op needs to check out RvB if they arer still active, maybe.
Or come to think of it, as often as I see these threads month after month and year after year some smart cookie should figure out some way to get soloers together and some reliable 1v1/1v2/2v2 action.
Choose an out of the way place, not too far from a decent market. You advertise heavily and everyone who wants in just creates their own single man corp and decs as many other corps on the list as they can. Or choose a deserted LowSec small chain if moneys an issue, but ratting back up your sec status would be a prob.

It is an MMO, and I am a stubborn bastard. I know that I am being unreasonable in wanting to play solo in pvp, but It is nice that there are more that feel the same as me.
