Just out of curiosity. I personally don't pay with PLEX (don't have the time to grind all the cash) however I know a good chunk of the community does. I want to get an idea of what would happen if PLEX ever reached 1bil per unit. |

I'd probably cut back to just one account if PLEX cost 1b. If it stays at 500 or lower, i might consider a 3rd account, but im debating that still
500 is pretty obscene though. I started plexing when 30d gametime only cost 160mil... and that wasnt too long ago...

being a full time highsec incursion runner i make my plex inside 20 minutes and i spend all day laughing at people that dont do what i do.
I can pay anything asked for a plex and the reason they are so high is that me and all the other incursion runners are raising the price of PLEX just for the lols.

Its not obscene given you get to play the game for free.
Given how easy it is to grind 1B, what is the problem? High sec incursions give out 120-150m ISK per hour. You can make 1B ISK in station trading with a few hours input over a day if you know what you're doing. |

Th crew I fly with does 50 sites every 10 minutes for our 500 million.
You must be flying with the guys in the T1 fitted Vexors.
In fact, I have seen a squad of 4 day old chars in frigs and no logi's make a billion an hour. |

Assuming even if everyone is interceptors, you cannot initiate and land from warp 50 times + 50 gates (100 total warps) within the span of 10 minutes. Much less complete even a single site in less that 2 minutes due to the spawning mechanics.

I buy a GTC that costs $35.00 that is essentially free money for me by carrying a pager. So for 45 minutes of income I can sell GTC for 900 Million ISK. It's all I need and hard to beat time vs reward...

That is the choice on how much your time is worth. If it GTC's were still 350m, no one would be stupid enough to pay for EVE...well some would have to because the plex/GTC market wouldn't work.

If you're the type who likes doing incursions or missions or trading or mining/industry, then when Plex costs 1B, you'll be making more too (might not be proportional, but it will increase). And since it's what you like to do, it will be no biggie if you have to do a little bit more.
But if you hate doing these things and only do them in order to pay for your PVP lifestyle, then you'll be sad and will either pony up the $real or leave the game.

Lol if PLEX reaches 1 billion ISK/unit it will be the same as it is now, except everything will be inflated. So depending on your source of income, you should have twice the amount of ISK anyway. So why would you quit playing?

It depends on the purchasing power of a bil for me. If a bil is still enough for a carrier I'd probably be inclined to pay for my sub in cash. If carriers are going for 2 bil due to inflation I should be making proportionately more on my own so it's a wash and I'd play on billion isk PLEX, yes.
