With +3 implants and learning skills up pretty good.
So after wasting time with Minnie BS V its time to move to Amarr.
So how do yall deal with a long training skill like this? Train it at night? Or just set it and forget it.
Times like this I wish that Large Projectiles were worth anything. *sigh* |

Depends on what the skill is... If I REALLY want the skill say to pilot a ship that ive been look forward to then I set it and forget it... If its not a big issue then I train it when I know ill be gone for awhile either asleep or work. |

I just set it and forget it... If I have shorter skills I want to learn then I'll pick those while I'm on and just eat away at it. I stay pretty focused so most my skills are fairly long now. |

Prob my biggest problem I have had in this game is focus for the long term V skills. I have near 30 of them now. But man these BS skills take a long time. Joy of it I suppose is only two more to do after this one. Plan on having all Frigate - Cruiser - BS race skills to V. One day right. |

I've got Battlecruiser to 5, and Caldari Frigate/Cruiser/Battleship, plus a number of support skillz at 5 too.
I just set a long skill and then I either play EVE (run missions, or do my trading/hauling biz), or I play WoW, or I do something entirely different.
Or sometimes I decide to go at short skillz, and "clean up" all the short ones I still have at level 1 or 2, or even 3. Those are the rectally painful ones to train, mind you. Not the long ones. A long one just does its work, but if you have a dozen short ones, you must be vigilant and pay attention and all that.
(Although I've found EVE Dashboard for Windows XP to be a very valuable application in this regard. I never liked EVEmon, but the Dashboard does exactly what I want it to do, and saves me a lot of time and worry and logging-in-just-to-check.)

I HATE skills that takes less then 2 days to the core. Seriously.
I have to plan my real life for eve because of skill training
I just prefer longer skills then i forget about them, I can even sit with my Character Sheet open when iam bored and watch how long it's left lol ------------

Nothing that can't be solved by more Minmatar nerfs.

Yes, there should be a law against short skillz.

Then you'll be glad to hear that the CSM has been doing their job. A 2-skill Queue was one of the highest priority issues they presented to CCP in their conference in iceland.

I am a fan of training the short skills when I am playing and having long ones running in pieces when I am at work. Although things I really want I train in one go. And during them I either just play EVE or other games/activities.

After a while you sort of get bored with swapping skills all the time and the long skills are a blessing. I just started on Wing Command 5 and now I have 30 nice days that I don't have to worry about skill switching.

What I normally do with short skills is just turn them on when I'm online on EVE and then turn on a longer skill when I go offline again. You train it bit by bit until only 15 minutes or so are left and then eventually it will get done :P.
Just don't forget to change skill >_>
