Tonight, the Vanguard's brief occupation over FAT-6P and 25S-6P was ended.
-A-'s assault featuring a fleet of 58 dreadnoughts amidst triple figures of support reinforced all POS in a single night, emplaced their own and kept us on the back foot.
This evening was intended to see a joint effort from CVA, IAC and Sylph among others to assist us in the defence of these systems. However, with -A-'s newfound comrades in the ex-RA corporation 'Reunion', their capital strength now evidently makes all surrounding alliances hesistant in the extreme to consider capital deployment against them.
The result was that FURY's dozen active capitals met with no like reinforcement from CVA, IAC or Sylph, with Sylph themselves even denying knowledge of the operation. A witness in their ventrilo server showed us plainly that they were lying. Despite also possessing a 60 man fleet at the time, they never bothered to show.
A 140 man fleet from CVA/IAC and an unexpected 20-30 man force from Roadkill appeared however, and allowed us to make a stand. Ultimately, -A- were victorious, and therein the tale ends.
It will certainly be interesting to see how Band of Brothers approaches the appearance of their new ex-RA neighbours.
At any rate, I continue to be extremely proud of the growth and development of what originated as merely a couple hundred man alliance that wanted to keep ex-DMC alliance members together while roaming and making a few kills. I've seen them become an honourable force that stands by it's allies in hard times, moving hell and earth to contribute where we can.
Where the Vanguard go from here, is anyone's guess.
As it always does, time will tell.

Well said Dark. Much respect for you as our leader.
Well played to -A-. You gents are certainly a force to be reckoned with as the incorporation of RA dissidents continues. Your attack on FAT/25S was understandable, but that does not make it any more paletable. Hopefully, you will at least allow the remaining FURY citizens a chance to evacuate the constellation in an effort to facilitate transition. We realize the situation, but it was very fun while it lasted.
We will recover, we will regroup. GF's all around, the challenge continues....

Now that you have some experience, you can rely less on outsiders. There are a lot of outposts, maybe you can cap one in a more stable area.

You never talked with Sylph on proper channels. Sylph leadership was not aware at all at 18:00 EVE about your last stand.
We had a fleet op scheduled with totally different purpose and Fleet Command did not considered your info as something more than intelligence data at 18:00 EVE time either.
Finally you got us around 22:00 EVE time 20 systems from our home in the middle of our operation with your desperate cry for help. With 40 men fleet not 60. Instead of turning you down we closed op as soon as possible and rushed fleet back to base (that was half way on route to FAT by the way).
We totally lost our chance for second strike on towers we put into reinforce because of you.
And now you blame Sylph for your failure to communicate.
Sylph contributed efforst for -A- fights without any real compensations for months. Sylph lost numerous dreads on Pax defense and numerous conventionals in assisting IAC. Accusing Sylph of cowardice is, well, stupid.

Afaik Sylph were not aware of this,nothing was posted anywhere and by the time our fleet was asked to assist we were 20+ jumps away.
After stopping at our home systems to allow people to log (our op had been 6 hours+ long at that point and it was after midnight for me and many others) the rest of the fleet was going to continue to FAT.
Perhaps some in Sylph knew,perhaps a mistake was made <shrug>,I don't know.

GF to all involved.
I must say I was impressed by the discipline showed by both parties with minimal smack ( I could not stay for the end of the fight, but assume it stayed the same).
We always knew this space would be hard to hold for any meaningful amount of time and alas that time has come to an end... Our heads are still high and we will bounce back with lessons learned.
Seems -a- are becoming more of a powerhouse everyday, so will be interesting to see how the rest of eve reacts.

thats a funny thing that you talk about history, did you know that you and your corp stuck in a fail loop? no? let me explain it:
1.) you capture space from weak guys that were under attack by gbc
2.) you flame on the forum how awsome pvpler you are (personal note lol)
3.) not so weak guys kicked you out of your space, you disband
4.) you settle down new in south and try to move weak TCF citiziens
5.) you flame on the forum again how awsome pvpler you are (personal note your kb stats where not so awsome)
6.) you got booted out by a not so weak guy names TCF and you disband
7.) now you are again in the north and try to move out the most weak 0.0 alliance in the game and even for that you
need again the help of the gbc
8.) you flame again on forum how awsome pvpler you are
you see? it's always same, perhapes you should rename your alliance in Trifail0r because i think you will fail soon again.
and i think someone who only had success against weak guys, should use his peen not as propeller
