I'm bored stiff of level 4's and can no longer stand doing them, even if I need the isk.
After many hours of exploration I've found stuff that's near worthless or worth squat.
Does exploration improve in nullsec? Is it worth trying out there?
I thought maybe nullsec ratting but it only about as profitable as level 4 missions. I thought at least it would be more interesting, I can get a battleship out in null but it's extremely vulnerable and very sluggish and takes ages to get it there if you don't die on the way.
People say a battlecruiser works instead but hmmm, that'd be hard going dps wise and maybe a battleship could attempt a complex?
Though Nullsec complexes as far as I know are pretty hard and need a rather good ship or help from more people.
NPC territories are all monopolised by one mega alliance all the other.
So I'm a bit stumped really on what there is to do for fun PVE wise.
I'm just in a funny mood where I want to go on a do or die treasure hunting adventure but I'm not really seeing anything to it.
PVE content is actually pretty good in null-sec. There is pirate missions which provide good rewards and a nice change from shooting the same old crap (first time shooting concord is always fun. As well as ratting there are alot of nice encounters (cosmic anomolies) which can be far more rewarding and certainly more interesting than belt ratting. Finally there is exploration which is really where 0.0 stands out in terms of PVE.
A 6/10 plex which can be found through exploration or as an escalation of an encounter is soloable (at least once you know it) and provides good rewards for a solo player.
Of course the problem with all this is safety. For belt ratting a battleship is indeed rather sluggish so a hac/command ship is a good investment. Many of the exploration sites do not require bs level firepower to complete either. If you are willing to accept lower level rewards a geat deal of 0.0 is safe (as its mostly empty). Only good true sec systems will be out of reach.
If you are really after a dangerous treasure hunt i would suggest belt ratting in a pirate "home" consteallation (fountain, stain, curse, delve, wahtever gurista one is). These regions have npc stations and more imporatantly have a modifier for belt spawns which means you get good spawns in poor true-sec areas, and can get officer spawns in any system (in non npc space the system must be below -0.9 to be officer capable).
