I have trained the Onyx to lvl 4 now. I was a bit disappointed in the damage output of the ship. I have maxed missile skills.
But that is probably the point isn't it? As the Onyx is intended as a ship stopper (the bubble) rather than a mega DPS machine?
Your thoughts on this please, before I start training to lvl 5.

Its role is to tackle caps and setup gate camps. Not to be an insane damage dealer. It would be silly if it could do both.

Search for 'USA4' on battleclinic - he manages to out dps battleships in his onyx. I hate him for it.

The Onyx has (I believe) the highest DPS of all the HICs.... It's the only one to fit a decent tank and cruiser level weaponery....

Uh not even close, phobos.
the 3x BCU onyx does less DPS than a blaster moa, btw.
Not that it matters, you'll never fit a HIC for dps anyway.
