His books had a good storyline but I could not stand how he always wrote after-the-fact. "The trolls jumped out out of the woods and attacked us. We killed many of them."
Would drive me nuts, never even finished the first book. -

He's a terrible writer, quite possibly even worse than Robert Jordan, I dunno how people can evern read Brooks's stuff tbh.

BLASPHEMY!!!
Other then Jordans horribly incessant repetition of descriptions he did an awesome job with holding his stories together. I have not made it past book five, considering the first 5 could be condensed into 3 books . But that is my opinion and everyone knows the adage between those and *******s.

Couldn't stand Sword of Shannara. If 'a bit cliche' means 'complete rip off lord of the rings' then I agree (though I'm told it gets more into it's own further on in the series)
I could tolerate Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, but got frustrated with how unneccesarily bulked up it was, and how all the female characters are pretty much the same. __________________________ Indulge Me Consider Yourself Indulged - Immy ♥ Wow immy scored - Xorus

This tbh, it does feel like LOTRs all over. I agree with you on Jordan and how he writes about women.
