OP, I cannot stress enough that those posting before about heading out in a Vexor are bang on the money.
However, if you're after a basic tanking and nano Ishtar [my main flies both nano and tanked] try:
cloak med nos or neut 3 x small AC's with t2 or faction ammo.
1 x large peroxide battery 1 x T2 large battery Mwd Disruptor LSE II
Overdrives Nano's I-Stabs
Polycarbon [2 if you can afford them] Aux thrusters
You have the option of taking out a large battery and fitting a med cap booster with 800's. You gain a second LSE II or some EW if you want, but running out of 800's in hostile space isn't funnny. The large batteries will let you run everything for wayyyyyy longer than any pvp you become involved in.
cloak med nos or neut 3 x small AC's with t2 or faction ammo.
Balmer TD with script Med Electrochem w/800's Ab Disruptor LSE II
2 x Med Armour Repper 1600mm RT Plate EANM Explosive hardener
Anti-Explosive pump Drone rig of choice
Hope this helps

LSEII on an armour tank? Also that doesn't have enough PG unless you have 2 ACR rigs and a 1% implant, and thats without the LSE and NOS/Neut.

Fly a vexor for now, it's beyond weird to learn PvP in a HAC. |

Ah, my bad. Thanks for pointing that out chap. Nice to see someone pointing out an error in a non-aggressive manner, lol.
I meant another TD or other EW. Also, the low's should have an RCU2 with an anti-exp pump in rigs to make up tank gap should the pilot not have maxed skills [my main has 63m sp's].

Good advice but I'm a carebear really so 250 Million is peanuts when you can farm AE for a week & I cant pack in as many of my favorite drone toys.
I can understand your desire to fly your new Ishtar
My main just got his first cruiser V skill done a few days ago and it really is great to blow sh1t up in a HAC. But I'm into PvP for almost a year now, flying mostly inties or dictors in 0.0, so I have a bit of experience under my belt And I started with T1 fitted T1 frigs, learning about ship handling, small gang pvp and all that stuff. And I just didn't care if I was blown up.
Even if you don't care about 250mil per shiploss, it's still time you "loose" on PvE that you could spend on improving your PvP experience if you just use a cheaper "learning" ship. |
