More or less. It didn't matter whether it worked or not, as long as it increased the instability and got a reaction from Molle. It did. He tried to order Seleene around, and the remaining bonds severed. Of course, Seleene and Dri had their own plan - Tortuga - but neither had the resolve, or more importantly the TIME to see it through to its logical conclusion. So much of what we do in this game is limited through the real life time we can sacrifice to it.
