As the topic suggests, I am just out looking for advice/help on anything people want to help me on/ingame m8s.
I have had EVE for a couple o months now and in honesty not really spoken to anyone in game. I know joining a Corp would help but I do not really want to join someone elses corp just yet and would prefer to start one of my own.
I have already got one in the Piekura system that is being changed due to naming issues, I was just wondering if out there people like me who play, but never seem to talk, are around.
Come on and chat to me for a while.
I am just looking for people who fancy the odd convo. Maybe some joint mining in a sunny asteroid belt.

You could try and create a small (roleplay) gathering for yourself. Name a time and place. State an aim. Then invite people to attend.
Youre absolutely right, comms channels should be buzzing with conversation, but people tend to play the game at breakneck MWD / Capitalism-Drive speed.

Well see this is it.
When I come on to play I always just amble around, I know that if I am doing something I will get there eventually.
There is no need to rush like mad b******s all the time.
But this little thread worked already cos in all honesty what chance would you and me of ever had to chat. Now I know you exist in the place and you know me as well.

How about joining some of the chat channels, there's plenty about suited for all types of discussion and debate.

well, I currently run missions out of Piekura, but I'm always game for a little mining operation.
I'll even do the refining for you.

However I do not really have to much of an EVE schedule. AS right now I am stuck at work with only Forum access and no way to play
BOOOOO WORK
but I am on most evenings and some weekends so if you don't have too much of an issue with it I will add you to my buddy list when I am next on. That way I can always instant msg you if I see you online.

u should just fire up discussions in local, been doing that for ages and with ppl who i pm/get pm`d
every time u get some where there`s allways some 1 who u`ve talked to a remeberd u to greet :)
been doing that for ages and as long i`m not on the enemy side i can stand where i want(yea, being in sa doesn`t helps with curse but lotsa friendly ppl :)
talk more in local and with ppl u do trades etc, u`ll notice the diff in no time :P

yeah I know but i tend not to trade with people really. Not directly anyway I only use the main market.
I think I am still learning a lot. I still feel very n00bish at the game as I have only had it a short while. But I am sure in time I will get there

just start ranting in local with saying hello and see if ppl respond, if they respond u can fire up a conversation easilly if they want to or have the time :)

after stopping actively playing eve a few weeks ago, i made quite a few new friends at school, allthough tomorrow is my last day of school 0.o
i suggest you just think about what ur working for in eve etc, ull get a eurika moment in a few hours. then youll have no need for eve for a little while, can make a lotta friends in that time.

I would have to point out that your name might put people off...
If you came into local / convo me I would be a bit wary....thinking hmmmm...pirate, corp thief , ganker....
But then if you are on a missons channel or another such official channel its likely we could get on real well.
I do practice the ancient art of NIMBY ....
The new channels layout on Choas gives hope for ease of channelling finding in the future....
