Bama and Cain are representatives of the one party system called CFR. If you yet dont know what CFR is.. why are you even talking in this thread.
Who were the founders? who are members atm? who are corporate members? who from the last 15 presidents were members of CFR? seek those points out and then talk in this thread.
my post is not ment as an insult. but push to the direction of seeing a bigger picture

Oh, and all this really means is that the government took 164 BILLION dollars too much out of the American economy in the first place. Damn tax and spending corrupticrats.
Not so. What did happen is the US govt borrowed 164Billion from the Chinese to issue those tax rebates in hope of boosting the economy, but that money went straight to the oil companies and the oil producing countries. So all the Republicans have done since being in office is borrow money in order to buy oil. .
. . and start a few wars, condone torture, shred the constitution, violate the civil rights of the country as a whole .. etc etc ..

Living outside the US, you probably do not understand that the Democrat party controls the House and Senate, and demanded such high rebates and that President Bush opposed the high amount that they were, but would not be able to stop the legislation. And the current Democrat House and Senate fully endorse purchasing foreign oil, and are in fact, demanding that Saudia Arabia pump more oil so that US boats sailing 60 miles offshore of the US will not have their oceanview spoiled by an oil rig on the horizon.
Name one civil right that was violated. What you consider "torture," is considered appropriate interrogation of criminals with intimate knowledge of impending attacks. The aim of politics is to keep the populace alarmed and clamorous to be saved by menacing it with imaginary hobgoblins. The urge to save humanity is a false front for the urge to rule it. |

Well thats a bit of a dodgy statement, if ever there was.
For one, "considered" by who? By you? Because thats just one opinion. By the CIA? Well obviously, seeing as they're the ones advocating it. By the US Gov't? That was the alt's point.
For two, they're not criminals yet. Enshrined in US constitution is the concept of innocent until proven guilty- that you shouldn't be punished until a proper, legal civil court has tried you and declared you a criminal. Before that point, you're legally innocent. Torture only ever happens to people pre-trial, seeing as its a means of extracting a confession. And most people would consider torture a pretty punishing experience. It doesn't matter that the police THINK you're a criminal; the police aren't court, and its a court who has the say in these things.
For three, the US legal system officially bans, and continues to ban, what is currently in question as being torture (as have all civilised, developed countries). What the government is controversially allowing is the CIA shipping criminals to off-shore bases (such as bases in Pakistan) to allow that kind of interrogation. That is to say, the US legal system has banned it from happening, the government know it's banned and refuse to let it happen inside the borders, but will happily exploit a loophole regardless that allows them to ship any American or foreign citizen away to be tortured without appeal or chance to defend themselves.
If you think its as simple as "they're ****ing terrorists they deserve it", you're either sorely mistaken or a wilful idiot. ------
