Hey Eve Community, hey CCP,
i recently heard in EVE about the Graphic Card for PLEX thing and thought wow, this is awesome, finally i will be able to use all the isk laying around in my wallet to do something useful for me.
I was looking for a new graphics card for like 3 months now, but im way to broke to afford one.
Well i instandly bought 20 PLEX and was all happy,
but then i found out you gonna offer a 170$-ish Card for the equal worth of like 300$.
I still hope you guys will take a look on the market and do way more fair prices on this deal.
Maybe you just had the wrong model in hands or i just got something wrong, but a 560GTX is never worth 10Billion ISK nor 300$.
Dont forget to tell me what you think about this.

Well, while the pants where virtual goods, and its the only way you can get them, and are some kind of emotional thing, the graphics cards are for real and have a real market value. And i would feel scammed paying that. |

first of all i can resell al the 20 PLEX without loss when ever i want ;) so thats not a big deal.
second, CCP was paid the equal amount of money for all the PLEX so yes you can calculate it like that, even if they have to transfer the money to nvidia. |

to clear this out, i bought the PLEXes with ISK, but yeah pohbis you got the point i wnated this thread to go, basically ccp is acting like a trading company on this graphics card, having almost 100% margin, and thats a joke.
So i hope they will think about taking a card thats worth the 300$ and im fine :P |

I think due to the nature of the offer, and the one time option its not really usefull for making money, but i will definately start playing PayPal now :D oh and if someone accidently drops a Brandnew 570GTX in my Mailbox with an Eve Charakter name on it he might get 10 billion isk a lot cheaper. |

this mechanism doesn t remove ISK from the game, it removes PLEX from the game. |

i really have no problem with the idea of making it possible to get stuff with your isk, but i think it would be great to hear from one of the CCP representatives how they calculated on the cards. But well we will see what comes out of all this anyways :) lets all think the best until they proove us wrong. |

i just had an interesting thought, not long ago i read somewhere that CCP might have a big problem with unused PLEX, since its possible that if the game soaks up too much plexes and then all are used at once, they get a huge payment hole, maybe this is an attempt to fix this problem.
but this is just a thought. |
