Originally by: Arvald minmatar use a primitive solid state rocket engine which has its own oxidizer allowing it to be used in space, due to the design on minmatar ships it allows hem to go extremely fast and use a relative minute amount of fuel
Minmatar ships also come with a detail kit that includes sweet Estes water decals.

Does not work, why then is it not possible to over ride this mechanism when a enemy ship is triggering this "safety feature"? Surely the impending demise of the Cloaked ships crew would be more important to avert than irradiate some poor sod who is trying to kill aforementioned crew?

My guess would be CONCORD regulations.

Yeah, I was confused by this also. To me, it makes more sense that the cloaking system simply cannot deal with the stress of something that close moving around "disrupting" what is otherwise a pretty much constant light source and so the cloak shuts down to avoid damaging the system. Here it is. Isn't it unique? |

Basically when a ship moves into a certain distance from the cloaked ship .. the cloaking device cannot maintain its delicate radiation field. As the radiation is deflected inwards and the cloaking device is shut down by its safety protocols.
Just like a magnatised item next to a old CRT screen.

concord has put safety regulations on the cloaking devices in such a way that if one were to tamper with it it will basically destroy some of the very delicate equipment on the cloak causing it to be useless afterwards.

Shields are obviously mere ego containment field, high opinions of self repell incoming damage.

A couple issues, 1 plasma tech is not the only theory behind shield technologies, there are theories where gravitons are used aswell.
Actually cloaking can be made this way, or through meta meterials bending light as ive read on how stuff works.
And lastly, caldari do use that system your speaking of, gravimetric propulsion by what ive read is just a speed multiplier, it utilises warping to make the ship's speed hundreds of times faster. |
