I read somewhere in this forum that more than 3 cap rechargers is a waste. I use 5 in my mission running Domi with 2 CCC & 1 cap power relay. That is a lot of modules devoted to cap for a dual lar setup.
I read that once you go past 3 cap rechargers you might be better to go with a large cap battery. Has anybody tried 3 cap rechargers & a large battery on a Domi to see if it will still dual run lars. I cant get to Evefit at the moment to test a fit.
I would be interested in the mechanics as to why more than 3 cap rechargers is a waste (if true). |

Sorry no. And cap rechargers aren't stacking penalized here's your answer. Large cap batteries often better than cap rechargers on cruiser hulls here's another. |

i find if u have 3 med slots open for example. 2 chargers and a battery is more efficientw than 3 chargers but on smaller ships batteries are harder to fit. |

I said in my post I could not get to eve fit at the moment. What is your problem. I only asked for some help & you traded insults. Some people make this forum suck & your one of them. |

That's exactly how I feel about you, and I'm not alone. |

Not true. Cap rechargers suffer from no stack-nerfs. You can add as many as you can spare slots for. The only situations where a cap battery is better than a cap recharger is for NON-perma-running setups (you just want a bigger reserve), for warping further in a single move (minor usefulness) and last but most important, if a cap battery would get your cap amount higher up than the recharge rate you gain from a recharger.
Bottom line, if you have to pick between a -x% recharge time cap recharger or a +y cap battery and your ship has z maxcap, the cap recharger gets you [1/(1-x)]-1 better recharge rate, while the battery give you y*bonus/z better cap recharge rate (bonus being anything appliable from ship, other modules like power diags and energy management skill).
Usually, ONE large cap battery on a cruiser will work better than am extra cap recharger, but in most other cases, the cap recharger is better. And if you plan to add a second battery, again, an extra cap recharger is better. That is, if you only care about peak recharge rate.
