Every Single Time No Matter What, it TAKES longer to deploy the patch than announced, so you can easy assume every time the patch is applied to add a couple of extra hours on top of announced time. Thats just lol, CCP will you ever stick to your announcements ?

QQ? Rather they take the 2 hours to get the thing stable, then to flood a server thats not ready to handle the community yet.

Edited by: Erialor Godsent on 02/09/2008 17:23:01 NO - every single day they've announced downtime from 11-12 GMT and in general their servers come up early - I'm happy the way it is... --

Actually, the last year has been really good patchwise. I have more memory of patches finishing early then memories of them finishing later. _

I do remember a patch being applied and server was up an hour early.
You cannot expect them to know exactly how long it will take to patch it. They do tell us to set a long skill, it's because they know it could take a bit longer.

you win!
OP Next time you see the 'patch day' info in the news, set a LONG skill running like everyone else and do something else that day. Man goes to the doc, with a strawberry growing out of his head. Doc says "I'll give you some cream to put on it." |

Didn't trinity delete certain vital files too though? It seems that having a broken computer is less wanted than an extended downtime...maybe it's just me though. Freighter Service Available |

Could it have been any worse?
30min before downtime, I buy a skill book and and have it training. Then my boss calls up regarding work. I forget to switch the skill back to something longer and it finished training 5 minutes after DT.
Its so sad I am laughing at myself.

Welcome to club "OH SHAT!".
Todays extension to the downtime guarantees fresh blood to the membership. Man goes to the doc, with a strawberry growing out of his head. Doc says "I'll give you some cream to put on it." |
