For experienced players, may I ask if this is the longest down time you have experienced from the company?
I ask because I am new, and it's not making a good impression to me so far.

when Empyrean Age was released, i think it was a 3-5 day downtime, memory is bad for me tho.

Their giving you more stuff, and their not charging for it. (I came from WoW, I'm still used to paying for patches.) Stop complaining.

No, there was another downtime on a Friday, it started some time right after downtime and didnt end on friday - i think that was a keylogger but i forgot...

that release was not that long but I remember that when someone hacked into the database it went down or a godo chuck of time.

no one cares if you are having a "good impression" or not during the patch downtimes. You have no idea how comlicated running a game like this is and they need to sort out all the bugs.

no for me it was boon.ini downtime madness for me =) as i lost my xp disks from my acer  those were the cool days

Pretty sure there was a 2 day DT about 3+ years ago (when i had just made my char).
Memory is a bit shaky though.

It's not even close. I've seen 2 dayers.
Why do you think there were all those posts about setting long skills? (24 hours left on 1 of mine, and that was cutting it a bit fine tbh)

EvE Downtimes are like death....
Players slowly die from 11:00 to 17:00
Then when 17:00 comes and the server isnt up...
They Die and go into Limbo....
Then when the server comes back online they are reincarnated and go back to this space ship flight we take so seriously

During the longest DT, the active accounts were given an extra day for free.
One patch went so bad that CCP did a 24 hour database rollback and also gave the players a free day.
So this is nowhere near the worst I've seen. Just be patient for your free update.

Yea that was Cold war or something. And the servers were really shaky after that for a while.

Nope.
I remember at least a few days of up/down for Red Moon Rising I think it was...broken markets and aweful cascading node failures.
This DT is nothing in comparison, and I also think CCP are much better these days at only letting people back in when it works, after they've tested it a bit rather than prematurely causing the aforementioned cascading node failures.
Relax - go play something else knowing that hopefully you're getting a better product (at no additional expense) when they are done.

Somehow i logged into the server just now. I came out of warp in a POS and there were 200+ BoB in the system with me taking down the POS's & taking sovernity. They said "How did he get in here?" and shortly after, I dropped.

Your memory is quite faulty with this. As I recall EA roll-out was completed on schedule or just before.
