Been playing for 12 months ish now got 10mill skill points, my own corp & 3 level 2 battleships. Bored of mining and missions i created a alt pirate character and eve has now become a whole new game. Best way to play eve is everyway.

I celebrated a year on May 16th. I pace myself by playing other games (UT2k4, FarCry etc.) so as to avoid burnout.
I hadn't realized how "old" I was until the people started telling stories about how quick they got into BS's and I added when I started -- cruisers let alone BS weren't even in game yet!
And when they did come in Moas and Thorax's were 12-14 million

actually not much does, allthough stuck in CA i just have to press a button and im out without any harm done.
i just log on, check my eve-mails, then 10 minutes later log off thinking about how cool shiva might become.
then sometimes i log into my friends account, make a few jumps... log him off again.

Im still a newb but I cant see the over arching 'meta point' of EVE at all. At some point, fixed in time by the time it takes to learn skills, you have access to all the uber stuff yet no long lasting goal that can be achieved, then defended.A persistant universe is sweet but if I can't actually claim dominate and clear an area for my corp, on a semi permanent basis then I dont get it. But thats what shiva looks like its going to fix so wait we will.
There is one thing you could try, build a really doped out service for the ingame browser. Wheres the universe tournament of poker or craps for gosh sakes?

As several people have suggested, switch to some long skills and cut back on you responsibilities in-corp and/or in-alliance.
See how often you come back.
I've been training looong skills on both accounts the last week. Some days I'm on for hours, but others I don't even boot the game PC and do other things.
It's summer right now, so I recommend RL activities in the out-of-doors.

Maybe you hav done most of what EVE has to offer, but having done it all?? Truely that cant be the case, cuz EVE's universe is huge. Get those traveling-boots on and explore, and report back to us with a screenshot everyday on the EVE Insider !!
Now get going, soldier, quickly!

Try starting a corp/building a small corp up
PvP every day...start a war with a giant alliance...Do some good ole agent missions...

I have just been here for 8 months or so...
but I aint getting sick of this game yet
But latly Ive been doing almost notting ingame, just log on, change skill and maybe just maybe, if there is any hostiles around then i go out hunting..
Gotta do something new soon (nope no tm here)

Just on a year now.
i am still enjoying it.
did agents, did mining (a bit.. ick), joined some great corps. Did that, joined CA, did that.
now changed to a freeroving bunch :)
loving the game more than ever.
<shrug> i'm not addicted, i can give up any time... i'm not addicted, i can......

Pass your Experience on to others and make lots of new friends in your Corp, in your Alliance and even amongst your enemies, that way if EVE ever does die (I pray it won't) You'll have made enough friends to find a Clan in the next game.
I played EQ and Neocron before this and for a while i was gonna give Lineage 2 a go, and guess what, i found out that loads of my mates from EQ were in it. In the end i stuck with EVE cos i like it so much, but never hurts to have lots of peeps in the Online Community
That and anytime i 'think' i have a good bit of cash i tend to buy things for friends with less cash ingame they'd consider expensive 'cos it's always nice when a friend lends you 70mil for your 2nd accounts basic implants...cheers Stoop

I think that if i sell my account some noob may run it i just cant let that happen  but seriously now i just do the same things i used to do (aside from mining cant take that anymore) i still find the game fun although nothing new is going on its still great to fight my old enemies so on so forth
