Today, LFC turns 5 years in EVE.
I am not as verbally gifted an orator as our resident forum-troll Ichabod Crane, who has unfortunately gone into hibernation; nor am I going to reveal another donkey-launching titan in our possession. I am however going to thank all the pilots we have flown with and against in our 5 years of existence; I can honestly say that without you, we wouldn't be here without you, good or bad.
I can't possibly name everyone who have played a role in shaping LFC to what we are today, but some corps deserve a special mention.
From the 3rd Front days, I would like to thank every corp that was ever a member; but especially Roving Guns, M'8'S and Inner Void for being fellow founders - and Wasabi Inc for being an early addition. Also thanks to DNA, ClanKillers, MAFIA, Corp 1, Miami Vice, Burn Eden etc. for being awesome enemies - even if we lost a lot in the beginning, I couldn't dream of a better way to be thrown into PvP! Also thanks to JQA; even if tempers flared towards the end, you were there for such a long time.
Also, thanks to all former members of Lotka Volterra, FATAL, FreeFall Securities and INSRG; many corps were in several of those alliances, so I won't mention you by name; but thanks to all of you - and especially thanks to Finfleet for being awesome, pink, spreading the manlove and just being generally awesome! You're our brothers from several other mothers!
And finally, thanks to EXE; GE (much love past and present <3), DRISE, OFE, CAD Inc, Rilla, FOFF, INDU, I2I, BOSD and NSN (Swedish weirdos!) for giving us a place to call home and friends to fight alongside!
And... well, thanks to everyone! Now it's time to start the celebrations!

I can't say with a clean conscience that I was there from the start; I wasn't. But I still remember the last days of 2003, when I was introduced to the family.
The early days in Essence, the first excursions into low-sec, running into Ignition in Goinard, the thrill of the hunt, and being there with someone you'd never hesitate to fight alongside.
Onwards to 3rd Front, in Syndicate (Y4Y7-Q 4 EVAH!) against the pirates of both EZA-FM (<3 DNA) and the stronghold of Y9G-KS - and while I think very, very few will remember it, the sentence "They're coming out of the god damn walls here, we need more ammo!" still holds a special place in my heart.
The epic rolling battles in VV-VCR against xCA, alongside JQA. Mm...Memories.
Even the bad times, seen in hindsight, we couldn't have been without them, and while I won't thank the few individuals who over time have snuck into the night, stealing from the family, I'm happy to see that we're still here, while those people are now but faint memories.
While we never did get to return in force to the alliance tournament as I think Lac accidentally implied at some point, we have quite the memories from that as well.
The history continues, and I think I'll run out of space much before I'm even halfway through, so in closing, while I represent the voices of the ghosts of the past (yay quasi-hibernation), I know that when the day comes to return, there's only one place to be. And that's with the family.
