Please go troll another thread.
I joined SG to play AA right after AA was released to the public. Ever since then I have been in the Planetside, SWG, and now the Eve portals. I have to say this is by far the most organized and fun group of people I have ever played online games with. We find a way to keep it organized and fun at the same time, not many groups can pull that sort of stuff off. Yeah I pay all of $1 a month, but that just means I don't super size my big mac a few times.
We have been targeted many times by those that wish to troll and flame us. I have to say I'm kind of used to it; jealousy tends to bring the worst out in people. But those groups that get the chance to actually play with us, or against us, will see we are the real deal. We enjoy the games we play and wish everybody we play with to enjoy them as well. After all, this is just a game and games are meant to be fun.

I joined SG in Early june 2001, just after the "interesting" release of WWIIO, and I can quite easily say that I've never looked back. SG offered me something that I didnt even release I needed at the time, that being a squad with strong and dedicated leadership, a great group of people to play with and definable set of end game goals. Playing with the SG is truly an amazing experience, one that I think will definately appeal to a large portion of gamers.

I didn't ever join SturmGrenadier as the idea of some sort of pay-to-play friendship regime makes me sick to the very core.
However from what I've seen so far these guys sure know how to bump their own thread with self-congratulatory rhetoric. Way to go SG! |

And now for a break from the Trolling on this Post...
One of my corp-mates said he thought he saw a Sturmgrenadier running around in Eve-space. Now I see it's true.
It's good to see another WWII Online group in the mix. These guys rocked in da Armor... I'm sure they're as good in da Ships!

'Um , no you haven't'
Three Planetside worldlocks for the NC on Emerald. Giant maps covered entirely in blue means winning.
Now, back onto topic.
Sturmgrenadier isn't perfect. Its not some end-all be-all of EVE or anything else.
What SG is is an organization funded by its membership. It's a teamspeak server that regularly holds conferences of people in the hundreds. It's a syndicate structure where your opinion matters and sh!t gets done. It's a code of conduct you respect, and others respect you for having.
Why are we so self-congradulatory? Because we think we've found and helped found something special.
Our membership says it all. We lose very few members. Those who join us are happier having done so. Those who leave us leave on good terms.
Our 'egotism' comes off in this thread because we want to show unity in our praise. We want to show that its not just one or two of us that thinks SG is a good corporation to be with. We want to show that our entire membership sees SG as a good corporation to be with. The Monkeysphere |

I hear you! In other words, whenever you're using a high bandwith teamspeak server, you expect someone else to pickup the tab.
1$ per month is hardly a fee. It goes towards a pool that helps pay for dedicated servers. It's a commonwealth concept, and as a matter of fact, the corp in-game functions the very same way.
We're not talking infrastructures running off someone's box in his basement for his 10 friends, we're talking servers that can handle 200 people and not even break a sweat.
You need to get out of your parent's basement until you figure out that not everything in life comes free.

Hmm Dicepoin't Planetside statistics
SG doesnt make top 10 with over 200 players while some outfits outscore you by far with less than half the numbers.
So , no , you didn't dominate Planetside. Kthxbye.

Certainly not, if needed I am happy to make a contribution. Other groups I have played with in different games have asked and I myself have picked up the tab once or twice when required. And let me leave you in no doubt as to the capabilities of our current server - it does the business.
However I'll not be the one to discriminate against a 15 year old player for whatever reason (lets say; because he cannot pay). Whereas:
SG has only adult gamers
Your nice friendly group of gamers most definitely would, and I hope your reasoning is money related (otherwise are you suggesting that perhaps younger gamers are... inferior?)
You need to get out of your parent's basement until you figure out that not everything in life comes free.*
Surely not... Perhaps I just suffer from the illusion that friendship is a free gift we can all receive, and someone should not be excluded from joining in the fun due to race, gender, age or bank balance. Kthxbye.

Enough trolling back to the point
Before i joined SG I was such a loser I played online games with my friends, and didn't pay a thing, just the subsciption to the game. It wasn't fun at all, we didn't get anywhere.
Now i'm in SG and all has changed, I now pay to hang around with my friends in this group, and I get so much more out of it. Firstly is the bill (oh joy!) I love bills, it makes me feel all mushy inside. Secondly is the forum training so we can spam and bump it for everyone to see, and how to make it sound like a cheap and cheesy double glazing advert, the people wanting to join is unbelivable! All in all this is a great corp and if your lucky enough, you can get to hold hands together and go skipping in the park, and if your really lucky you can go see the master and spend a night with him! You'll love this corp, and so what if it is ghey? (remember join now and get the first 30 days free! that's right we won't charge you to be our friend for 30 days! (oh joy!!!) |
