This is a great group of players. While new to the game and lacking experience, they make up for it with enthusiasm and zeal. Good corp for anyone to join.

If you are tired of just being another number to fill a corporations wallet, then come over and take a look at SG. I'll tell you from personal experience, you will be hard pressed to find another group of people that truely care about the membership as a whole first, and the "game" second. If you are not afraid to make some new friends while playing a game that you enjoy, then take a step over and give us a try.

One of the greatest thing about Sturmgrenadier is that when you need them they are there, personal and perfessional. The best of both worlds if it is a mining opperation without much risk then there is interesting and fun conversation and you can always find some one to mine with. When there is battle then you will find the command staff prepared, fleets orginized with objectives explained and sought after until victory is acheived. Support, direction and camradeship that makes gaming fun without the infighting that can disallusion players. That is what Sturmgrenadier is all about.

New players are welcomed to join and training will be provided if required. If you value discipline and respect of your peers, and if you're looking for a group of dedicated people that are well organised, then this might be the place for you.
I've joined SG after a trial period and I can say that it was the best move for my playstyle. The team's age average is in the 25-30's, while the command structure is slightly older. You will never get flamed or disrespected by this mature audience.
If you like to work as a group to reach a greater goal, this is the team for you. If you're a solo style player that is self-centered, this is not the place for you.

Edited by: Ehxo on 11/06/2004 15:46:49 Been with SG since January 2004 and I'd never go back to non-SG. I started in Planetside and sticked with SG right away because it was truely the most incredible bunch of people I've ever been playing with. They are serious, organised, rigid in structure but loose when it's time to have fun. Management really knows how to manage a large organisation and have a lot of wisdom about it, which is why SG has always become a dominance in every game they play.
We have a strict charter that everybody follows to the letter, we have a very well organised Team Speak server, and forum for ease of communication. We have regular All Members meetings in team Speak where everyone has a voice when it's time to speak out.
If you want to make a difference in EVE, and you don't want to waste time with other organisations that don't know what they are doing or may lack the maturity to do so, join us, and you won't regret it! I Swear it!

Was just checking your Web site. Forgive me if I read this wrong, but do members of your corp need to pay a $12 monthly fee? That's what it seemed to say.

I'll nip that one. Sturmgrenadier charges $1 per month...so $12 per year.
There are services we provide, such as teamspeak servers, gaming servers (mostly setup with FPS, when members want a change of pace), and a stable and active web space.
Originally, these were basically provided by a few members. But as we grew, and our needs grew, it just seemed less and less fair to burden a few members with the cost of providing those services. So now everyone chips in.
We cover the cost of the equipment and services, and whatever is left over at the end of the year is distributed back to the members in the form of hardware giveaways and contests.
It's also good to note, that no new applicant is asked to contribute any money until after they've had a chance to try out Sturmgrenadier for 30 days, to see if it's for them
Hope that clears it up.

we run our TS servers, and our hosted game servers (games like America's Army, MOH, or Battlefied Vietnam, etc) on an OC-48. This costs money , but the game servers do not lag, and are simply awesome to play on. Also- we get 300+ members in one channel on one TS server.
Anything that is left over at the end of the year, is funneled back to the players. Last year the syndicate gave away like 1,500.00 in Computer gear to the members through contests.

I've been an active gamer for a few years and during which I've joined a lot of organizations in a lot of games. Each time I've had to find a new group of people who share my own views and goals to have fun with... and as some of you may know, that can be challenging at best. Once you are a member of SG, you have a group no mattter which game we play. You won't have to 'wade through' the leet speak kiddies or the griefers and gankers to find some good people.

I played eve at it's launch, and recently came back when I joined SG. While it's still Eve, it's a completly different experience. My previouse corp wasn't very organized, and not very supportive of new players, SG is both.
If you're a new player, or someone who has been around for a while and looking to have more fun in game, I highly recommend SG

I've been in SG for a year, and tried all of the portals at least once, but ended up being a Platoon Leader in the Planetside Portal.
So much fun, with the teamspeak it really keeps everyone together moving towards the one goal. Course, if there's a lull it lets up have a good ol' natter about what's going on in the world while we're waiting for the hack to go through.
Playing that for a year made me need a break though, and I could never see myself leaving Sturmgrenadier, so I gave the EVE portal a shot.
Having just as much fun as I did in Planetside, along with alot of guys (and girls) who I knew previously, and alot of people who I'm meeting and playing with for the first time. There's always a worry with the size of the organization that people kinda get left behind, ignored etc...but really, with the teamspeak, you get to know everyone by voice and find out alot about what's going on with them.
It's basically just one big, mature, ass-kicking happy family :)

There are so many reasons why you should join Sturmgrenadier but the one that keeps me playing every day are the people who make up SG. SG members are an amazing group of people from all over the world who love to play games and have a good time.
Sturmgrenadier has changed the way I play games and it will do so for you if you decide to take the leap into a different world of gaming. One of the slogans in our planetside portal is "Welcome to the last outfit you will ever join", this couldnt be more true. So for EVE I say, welcome to the last corporation you will ever join.

I've been with SG nearly a year now, heard about Sturmgrenadier while playing Planetside and after witnessing the co-ordination and domination of the battlefield in PS i was hooked. Since then I would call SG my 2nd familly, I think that what makes SG click is the level of maturity, mutual respect for our own and even rivals. I think my 12$ I paid last year was probably the best investment in a while.

You moved to an alliance territory, then left the alliance, where are you guys moving to as a new headquarters now?
Will you head back to empire space, or are the powers to be in your old alliance going to allow you to still live there even if you won't help in the cause?

It wouldn't be fair for us to benefit from the Alliance if we're not helping them in their conflict. We won't be operating in Northern 0.0 during the Northern War.
Most of our operations will be centered in Empire for the time being.

Everyone in SG who knows me, knows that I tend to be a little on the "wordy" side. Or, I tend to make long stories longer. So instead of restating what everyone else has already told you, I will simply say this:
I joined SG almost a year ago (August '03) and it was the smartest thing I could've done in gaming. I'm completely addicted to EVE Online now that SG burst onto the scene. We are looking forward to having you join us and help us in building on what already promises to be a bright and successful future.

I won't lie to anyone. Being part of Sturmgrenadier isn't all carebear hugs and gumdrop hats. It means putting your **** away and getting your game on. It means profesional attitudes and commraderie. I highly recommend checking Sturmgrenadier out if you are looking to be a part of something big and long term. No corp-of-the-week here. All for one and one for all.

I joined Sturmgrenadier over a year ago as a part of SG's Planetside Portal, and I have never regretted it. I have been playing EVE for just over a month now, and I am having a really good time. I am more of a casual gamer. I only have time to play around 20 to 25 hours a week, so its nice to be part of an active group that always has something going on whenever I log on. We almost always have a mining op going during prime time hours, and we can also form up the Wolf Pack for battle when needed. There is a good mix of people in SG from casual gamers like me, to guys who seem to be on-line 24 /7. Everyone is welcome, and you don't have to be ex-military to play with SG. I think that every gaming group or Corp is committed to winning. However, at SG, the way you play the game is just as important as the end result. We play to win, but we also emphasize playing the game the way the game is supposed to be played. SG has many different game portals, so this is the last outfit that I am ever going to need!

Ever since I've been part of Sturmgrenadier my online game playing has changed. I used to run around and do my own thing. Because of that I got bored with games after the inital honeymoon.
SG keeps games interesting. I'm no longer playing the game by myself. I have a whole squad/group/armada with me, that I trust. Now I will say if you have trouble following orders, then SG is probably not for you. If you are willing to make sacrifices of yourself for the better of the team then SG is the place for you. It's all about the team accomplishing the task at hand.
You also don't have to listen to l33t speak at all. Maturity that is what SG is about.
(note: Some words might be mis-spelled. I'm sure you can still read it.)

I joined SG a little over 1 year ago during Beta for Planetside. I don't normally stick to a game for more than a 3 months, but SG adds a whole new dimension to teamplay and organization. SG is so involved developers watch them for what their own game's potential can become. SG is a great organization for adult players who like to dominate through excellent teamwork and are willing to dedicate much more than a few days a month.

I was introduced to SG while I was playing WWIIOL through a Squad Merger. I have to admit that the way SG did things was a huge shock to me. I had never before experienced a level of Coordination and Leadership that is SG. Since that day I have not only had more fun in the games that I play, but also found an awsome group of Good People.
If your looking for something unlike you have experienced in a game before, Give Sturmgrenadier a try.

SG is a great bunch of indivduals thats for sure. I used to curse their name every day it seemd when I was camping one of their gen rooms on my TR CR5 (ZlanderC22) over and over, but one thing was left in our heads after the battle. Total respect.
These guys are a class act and fun to work with. My experience with them in Eve so far has been same as in Planetside: impressive.
I look forward to playing with guys in the future, feel free on calling any of us C22 to your side for anything.
