You seriously don't belong in the world of grown ups if you don't understand. You were ganked by a goon? |

I'll give you your like, and you come back when you learn to internet. You should apply to their alliance BTW. They will give you a good deal on application fees and carriers. All I know is that Mittani has made many enemies in this game over the years and that they all smell blood right now and think they have a good chance to force him off his elected chair. These threadnoughts are not mainly about the badly chosen spur of the moment remark during Q&A at fanfest. This is about revenge. You smell blood. And you are going for the kill. |

People need to learn the difference between griefing and cyber bullying. This was griefing not cyber bullying. You may think that, many others might think that, but every site which is reporting on the story are reporting it as Cyber Bulling and that is what matters. Yeah, right, (a select part of ) the media is not only the prosecutor. They are also the judge and the jury.
I can tell you that not all media share the same view. Check out these blogs as an example. I am sure more will follow:

You can not compare blogs made by players to those sites that companies like CCP rely on heavily for marketing and advertising.
Whilst I generally do not like these sites and rarely bother visiting any of them simply because they don't give a **** about the players or games, just simply which developer pays them the most to get a good review, companies like CCP, Like Sony pay a hell of a lot attention to them.
The word will spread and soon this will be known as the biggest meta-gaming battle for power in EVE ever. And then EVE will grow even bigger. |

Who really cares.... let the masses be scared away. EVE is a harsh place. Erm.. CCP care, the people who have millions of dollars invested in CCP Care, CCP's official sponsors care.
Did you listen to David Ried at fanfest? Stories about the harsh nature of EVE is its biggest marketing asset. |

Wether you will succeed or not is written in the future. This game is famous for its meta-gaming and the game is not over yet. |

This threadnaught has about run it's "useful" course as we have pretty much two polarized sides that must agree to disagree on this topic.
The only real steps to getting us all to move on (IMHO) would be:
1. Mittani to complete his Step 2 (Resign from CSM) heck, he'll be back in next year but, he said the words, and as a man I would expect him to keep to it. 2. CCP to issue some flavor of an "official" statement.
He might be back sooner than you think if he completes his resignation.
He is currently chair of CSM6. He could resign today and CSM can issue a statement. But on April 4th he will be offered the chair of CSM7 that he must accept because of the 10k votes.
See, problem solved. |
