A simple question, but one I can't find an answer to here on the forums.
I run research on 2 other characters as well and they always get their daily research mission, even if all they do is sit in station all day. This alt however, who has just started running research with a level 1 R&D agent since a few days, seems to be unable to get any research missions. I've already tried redocking or even leaving and reentering the system, but nothing seems to trigger that eve mail telling me that I have a research mission, nor does the agent herself offer me the option "do you have a job for me".
Is there something I'm overlooking?

Have you gone and talked to teh agent? If you dont' respond to a mission request, they won't send you antoehr until you go talk to them.

@ foxische > yes they do, as I stated my other characters are fine, they can still get missions - heck I just applied to a new R&D agent on one of them last night and got a mission from the same one this morning.
@ Clansworth > yes, I've talked to the agent several times already, but no mission.
Edit: and finally after the 5 day's downtime I log on my alt and get the long-awaited mission, strange..
So problem solved, but I still don't understand why this took so long.

Sometime the agent take up to a week to give the first mission. If after a week he hasn't given you the first mission, petition.
