I have a strict anti-moron policy and I definitely do not like emo emus.
Any representative I would vote for should reflect these stances. EVE RELATED CONTENT |

Right, but noone like their ship being blow away from under them. Or being camped inside a station without any option to leave it without said ship getting blow under away from them.
The awefull playstyle is something that evolved thanks to the main tactic in EvE PvP. Blob + camping.
The people inside the station can't put up a fight because it's clear they'll get ganked if they stay outside for long, the people outside aren't getting a fight because they outnumber the people inside and don't want to lose the advantage by sending people away. So it all comes down to a stalemate tactic.
How to do something about it? No idea. But suffice to say that without camps on stations there wouldn't be a dock/undock tactic. _________

Undock -> agress target (a BS which you need at least a minute to actually kill) -> local jumps by 20 -> you die horribly is also rubbish PvP. Suggesting that you're supposed to die (because frankly, you cannot possibly kill a BS in the amount of time required) is silly.

Reality is that ship hit points have been buffed and buffed again over the years
So have numbers. So has DPS. So have the hit points of your targets. Also, so have numbers. Travel time for people without bookmarks has been reduced.

No, but the assembly hall thread had maybe 3 pages without decisive support. Should tell you a bit, eh?

I think it was a bold experiment in the realm of virtual democracy on CCP's part and I think it was worth trying. The conference was excellent and added a lot of prestige to the company for having the guts to try something like that. Good publicity, interesting idea, bold vision. It was definitely worth having a go. As for what actual positive elements come into the game as a result of CSM issue advocacy - hell, we're all dependent on ccp actually delivering on the promises and rolling out the items we brought to their attention. If it happens in six months time something cool might well be in the patch notes saying we helped it to happen. Who knows. I'd love that pillageable outposts implementation to happen. Or the detailed merc and bounty hunter proposal to happen. Or any of the faction warfare tweaks and improvements we've pushed. Or even something crazy and simple but hugely important for pvp - like the docking aggression timers and end to stupid station dock undock games. We've pushed a lot of ideas at the devs - who is to say whether those ideas might have gotten the attention if CSM didn't exist. Maybe they do, maybe they don't.
But like I said. It was worth a go. If you are pessimistic about everything then you never try anything and thats the worst way to be.
But no actual concrete accomplishments, right?
Proof of fail right there.

The accomplishments are quite clear; they've put a good selection of player requested issues on the table and got acknowledgment from CCP on them.
As a developer, I have first hand experience of what it takes to get an upgrade rolled out the door, and frankly if some of the things that have been asked for, were implemented by now; I'd be worried.
Anyway, your *point* isn't anything to do with Jade or the CSM, it's to do with CCP wanting to implement anything that's been raised; the CSM have done their job.

What I find funny is that you grab a quote of Jade responding to people, and everything in that quote is from another forum, that isn't run by CCP.
My feeling is that the Jade has the right to say what he wants on another forum, and you shouldn't bring it to Eve forums.
This, not sharing what forum this was posted in and why we on the EVE forums should care makes this little more than a potshot attempt of character assassination.

If you don't like Jade don't vote for him. If you don't like his ideas argue against them If you don't like the CSM don't vote at all. If you don't like the CSM's representation of the community, raise it as an issue.
But the personal attacks have really gone too far. It's a game. The guy behind Jade is a human being, he's not a professional politician, he's not getting paid the big bucks to put up with this kind of BS, and he doesn't have an army of PR consultants. Professional conduct shouldn't be expected from people who aren't professionals and if you beat on someone long enough and they will lose their rag, that doesn't make them the immature party.
The CSM are only players, elected by players, no better or worse than the rest of us.

Nice post and I agree with it, but it requires people to have something called empathy and reasoning, something that doesn't go well with all the internet tough guy acts that many find necessary to create for themselves.

Funny how everything we like is a "legitimate mechanic" and everything we don't like is a "game" isn't it?
Docking and undocking isn't any more lame than sitting on a station and only agressing when something undocks that looks like an easy gank.
Station camping as a whole is pretty dicey in a game where you can end up black-screened to death if the big lag dice in the sky didn't land right for you.
Just throw a big 'ol POS style bubble over the damn things and be done with it. No more dock-undock, no more station camping. You want to camp, camp a gate.

You cant require something that you don't offer at first place. The attacks have gone too far. Point. Actually CCP should immediately lock and send warning to ANY sort of personal posts like this.
Jade has been playing this game for about 5 years. If you voted and put him there, you knew exactly what you were doing it. Now live with it.
Seriously. This sort of thread must end.

I like Jade. He treats you ****ing whiners like the whiney little *****es you are. I dont know why CCP even puts up with your small vocal minority. If it was up to me I'd ban the whole lot of you and tell you never to come back.
The majority of the player base is happy where eve is and where eve is going, hence why the sub numbers constantly climb.

I do on most things as well, However with him being head of teh CSM he should also be professional in that role, it's hard as when he now posts its viewed as hes speaking as CSM and not as a player of Eve however that being said I've not seen the uk Pm or the prez of the USA act anything but their role.
thats prob typed wrong but I hope ya get the idea.
