After two weeks EVOL finnaly appeared in the war. Thats cool, I dont mind fighting and beeing killed sometimes by ppl who can fight. Same time m0o comes into fight, saying they are just here to kill stuff but whatever. Thats cool, I don't mind fighting and beeing killed sometimes by ppl about which I heard that are really good at pvp - let's check this one it will surely be hella fun. At least we can call it "war" finally and it is can be an advantage for us.
But please, Rkk/Jf/Norad/Cod & Co. dont try to look like you have anything to do with it

To clear up the IC/OOC issue. The only forum that is IC only is the Intergalactic Summit forum, and the only pure OOC forum is the Out of Pod Experience forum. You are free to post IC or OOC in all other forums. Although we think that a IC post should be replied to in a IC way we won't enforce it, so except for the two forums above you are free to post IC or OOC or mix it.

During the weekend norad were engaged in battles against both m0o and PA.
How do your less-than-optimal reasoning translate having the same enemy at the same time but for different reasons into "flying with"? Especially if you are not in the same gang, not coordinating, not in the same system and podding each other when possible.

Thank you for clearing that up Wrangler this seems a sensible policy. I wonder if that could be added to a sticky or forum guide somewhere since this roleplay/anti-roleplay argument is being had quite a lot at the moment in various places.
Anyway, clearly the best policy for people that don't want to debate IC with IC material is to just ignore it or go create an OOC thread in rebuttle. As I mentioned in the openign I am very happy to OOC debate these issues on Jericho Fraction forums but I feel it sensible to avoid such things here.

Again sensible advice, and I think something that is much easier to adopt when imagining that these are game characters getting angry with each other, not the players behind the characters.

Well you know monsieur Skullhunter, this fight is not just something for limited involvement between the battle lines, and its not something happening a long long way away. A lot of the action in happening in Pureblind right on the borders of Caldari State territory and the Phoenix Alliance has currently moved its de facto captial to Torrinos system in the protection of regulated territory.
Also, you should realise this is a war being fought for very real issues, things extremely pertinent to independent corporations and freelancers and neutral businessmen in the Eve star cluster.
Reikoku and allies have entered hostility with Phoenix Alliance to defend the principles of alliance accountability and the protection of freespace in Pureblind, Tribute and Vale under the aegis of the NAST treaty.
The rogue corporation at the heart of this (CDI) had broken that treaty and was engaging in corrupt and piratical practises in contradiction of the NAST agreement.
The key issue was whether Phoenix Alliance had the will to discipline and eject a criminal (but very rich) member corporation. Since if they could not, then the rule of law enshrined in their constitution and claims to legitimacy would mean effectively nothing.
Imagine you were an independent trader attacked and killed by a PA corp and you made complaint and were told "we don't care", "we have no interest in limiting the freedoms of our members", "get lost or you die again".
That is what this war is about in a nutshell.
Accountability.
Hence if you personally monsieur Skullhunter have an interest in the northern regions and seeing Pureblind kept open for honest trade then you might consider taking up arms and joining the free corps already fighting the Phoenix Alliance.
This war can have only one of two eventual outcomes:
PA defeated and the principle of freespace in Pureblind sustained.
PA victorious and a new dark age of oppression losed upon the north.
Now, anyone looking for a noble cause in the current environment of eve doesn't have to look very far to find one...
Jericho Fraction wants people in 0.0 space and we very much seek the establishment of a valid unrestricted economy and open trade routes in Pureblind.
Phoenix Alliance just wants to rule the roost and be unaccountable to the traditions of oath and honour.
Its a fairly simple choice.

As usual, in large conflicts with many people from different corps/alliances involved, both sides think they are winning - from the information each of them have. And, from their individual perspective, this conclusion may be right. But generally, the people reporting they are winning are in more pvp-oriented corps which don't have that many losses - while they at the same time never see nor hear about many of the losses their side has.

PA does not oppose free space in Pure Blind in any way shape or form - except for its declared enemies of course.
And we all know that PA are baaaad and eat babies, but I'm a bit unsure why it is supposed to be PA who is trying to start a 'dark age of oppression'.
It is you who invaded PA, not the other way round. The only ones PA may be trying to 'oppress' are those who attacked us, which is a quite natural reaction in my opinion.
