Edited by: Kultarin Amchia on 10/09/2008 19:27:01 ôCome inö came the muffled reply after Kultarin knocked on the Khanid Navy Captains office.
With a snick the door unlocked and hissed open revealing a stark room whose wall was adorned with various weapons that were no doubt trophies of war. Sat at a functional metal desk the Captain was reviewing a document on his computer and looked up as Kultarin marched into the room and stood to attention.
ôA little old for to be graduating from the Academy arenÆt you?ö he asked somewhat surprised by Kultarin appearance though clearly not intimidated by his rugged appearance and the scar that cut vertically across his right eye.
Kultarin stared at the Captain in stony silence that made it cleat no questions about his age would be answered.
Shrugging the Captain reached across his desk and picked up a letter with the seal of the Amarr Empire on it. ôNever mind I have your orders hereö he said tersely.
Kultarin approached the Captains desk and started to take the letter from the Captains hand but it held it tight for a moment.
ôYouÆve further orders not to open that letter until youÆre in a secure locationö The Captain intoned
Kultarin nodded his understanding to the Captain who then released his grip. Kultarin quickly tucked the letter away in his uniform out of sight. ôMay I be excused Sir?ö Kultarin asked
ôYes Privateö replied the captain who then turned back to his computer.
Turning smartly on his heel Kultarin marched out he Captains office and headed directly to the hanger bay where he boarded quickly entered his Punishers cargo hold and sealed the cargo bay doors behind him.
Taking the letter out of his uniform he carefully checked the seal to ensure it hadnÆt been tampered with before tearing it open. Inside he found a small piece of paper and turning it over there was a name. He memorised the name before stripping off his uniform to reveal a flight suit and placed both the uniform and note in the disposal unit to be destroyed.
Leaving the cargo hold he quickly climbed into his pod which then entered the punisher. His final act before leaving the station was to transmit a simple but effective virus to the stations mainframe that would destroy all records of his presence on the station. The Captain might have been able to identify him but the small device heÆd left in his office should have released the nerve agent just after Kultarin had left the room paralysing him completely and causing irreversible brain damage that would make any data recovery impossible. No doubt the Captain has committed some indiscretion against a senior politician to have earned the job as messenger boy. Banishing such unimportant thoughts from his mind he focused on the job at hand and smiled as the pieces fell into place.
Now he understood why he was required to attend the academy and become a pod pilot. After a brief communication with the stations control tower the docking clamps were released and he swung the small craft out of the station until it was far enough away for a warp jump. Accessing the start charts he searched for a backwater system at the fringes of Amarr space and activated the autopilot.
This journey was going to take some timeà

Edited by: Teack on 10/09/2008 20:58:25 The words on his console screen glowed softly; "Report to Krethmia Sarum immediately" when he walked into his base cubicle.
"Odd" he thought, "No header, no trace".
"What does the old battle Axe want with me? Especially in light that this was a direct communique. Since her transfer to this station from Faswiba, she hadn't so much as acknowledged his presence. Odd indeed." Teack considered as he headed to the tube.
He punched the button to the executive floor and waited for the tube to wisk him to that floor and subsection. The stations size always gave Teack pause especially when compared to the starships he had served aboard. After a few moments there as a beep and the doors opened to a plush and extravagant expance. This floor was actually panelled in rare woods and plants, real plants at that. His nose crinkled at the unusual taste to the air. He briskly walked up to the Secretaries desk, but even before he reached it the office doors opened and a woman in her middle years and eyes flashing motioned at him curtly, to follow her.
"I do not appreciate recieving private commications that must be hand delivered, even if is it is to one Loyal to our Family, Teack." She practically growled at him, as the door closed behind him automatically.
"Commications Lady? I assure you I would never presume have had anyone send you a message to deliver for me. Can you tell me who sent it so that I may reprimand them in your name most strenously." He told her with great respect in his tone and suppressed anger to have aroused her notice in this manner as well.
"I cannot, and that makes it even more annoying, all I can tell you is that it came from one greater then myself, but I am not you or their messenger and you tell them that, there are menials for that kind of duty damnit. I don't have time for intrigues like this unless they are my own, is that understood?" she said, as she reached for a sealed piece of paper on her desk and thrust it at him.
"If this is Edwards doing I'll revoke his privilages here I swear I will. After his disappearnce in Faswiba and the mess that caused especially after his fathers death in the same system and now his sudden reappearance IÆll not get mixed up in his affairs again unless he asks me is that clear! Now get out of my office I have work to do!ö She managed to regain her regal bearing by the end of her diatribe, but her eyes still flashed at him.
ôI hear and obay Lady Sarum and it shall be as you say. Glory to the Sarum name and may God Bless them, cherish and guide them in the Empires successes!ö Teack answered as he quickly left her office and walked briskly to the tube once more. Once in the travel tube he punched his floor once more and after examining the seal to see if it were tampered with, he opened it read:
ôBlack Bishop on the move, prepare.ö
Teack didnÆt hear the beep when the tube arrived, as he was deep in thought.

Edited by: Kultarin Amchia on 10/09/2008 22:00:10 KultarinÆs punisher dropped out of warp 30km away from the Sarum Family Production Facility at Faswiba IX, Moon 8. Immediately his comm started to beep as he was hailed by the station and he opened a channel.
ôThis is the Sarum Family Production Facility to unknown vessel please identify yourselfö Came through the comm system.
ôThis is Kultarin Amchia of the Amarr Navy bringing supplies from the Throne Worldsö Replied Kultarin with a virus riding along his signal that immediately set about adding the appropriate records to the stations database.
ôWe have no record of any-ô
Sat in his pod Kultarin could imagine the confusion going on in the control room as their computers suddenly recognised his ship and reassured them that this was a planned delivery. A few minutes went by when the comm. burst back into life.
öControl Tower to Kultarin Amchia. Sorry for the delay it appears are having some computer problems but they are sorted out now. YouÆre clear to dock in bay six. Leave an inventory of your delivery with the hanger boss and heÆll arrange its removal from your shipö the voice said still sounding a little flustered.
ôUnderstood control tower. Setting course to dock sixö replied Kultarin before closing the channel.
Setting course to the hanger the Punisher swung around and accelerated gently covering the 30km in a few minutes. Entering the hanger he directed the Punisher to his allotted bay and parked it in its docking cradle and waited for the clamps to secure it in place. The ship shook gently as the cradle grappled the ship before going still when it was in place.
Kultarin accessed the stations mainframe and booked himself some accommodation to stay at. If there were any questions as to why he wasnÆt staying in Navy accommodation heÆd dealt with that pre-emptively by giving himself some leave once he completed the delivery.
Leaving his ship he paid a brief visit to the hanger boss to drop off his inventory before heading to his room for some well needed rest. He had a busy day tomorrow.

Edited by: Kultarin Amchia on 11/09/2008 10:22:28 Edited by: Kultarin Amchia on 11/09/2008 10:22:15 Kultarin shifted his weight slightly to find a slightly more comfortable position inside the container. In the pitch black he was aware of the gentle vibrations of the ship he was being carried in as it travelled through warp towards its destination. Suddenly he was slammed against the wall of the container as the ship dropped out of warp. Winded but unhurt be berated himself for not fitting some kind of harness in the container but then reminded himself that it may have attracted some attention unwanted attention that he would have to deal with terminally. An added complication heÆd rather avoid for the moment at least.
HeÆd searched the CONCORD and DED records of the area when heÆd gotten to his room after arriving and quickly found reports of piracy in the systems asteroid belts that had been attributed to the man heÆd wanted and headed to the local drinking hole to find himself a captain.
***
Walking up to the bar he called over the barman
ôIced water and do you know of any pilots around here that are looking for work?ö he asked the barman.
As the barman reached under the bar for a glass he nodded over towards a sorry looking ruffian slumped at the other end of the bar.
ôHeÆs been looking for work for a while nowö he replied putting the glass of iced water on the bar.
ôThen IÆll buy a drink for him as well. Whatever heÆs been drinkingö Kultarin added Picking up an unlabelled bottle of clear liquid the barman opened the bottle releasing a pungent smell of alcohol and poured it into a shot glass before placing it infront of the man and telling him whoÆd bought it.
The man turned to face Kultarin and regarded him with bleary and bloodshot eyes for a moment before raising the glass in a small toast and throwing the vile contents down his throat. This was going be easier than heÆd hoped thought Kultarin and ordered another drink for the man before joining.
ôMay I join you?ö Kultarin asked the man
ôSureö Slurred back the ruffian
ôI hear youÆre looking for business?ö Asked Kultarin and the captain nodded.
ôI need to hire a ship to salvage a wreck for me. Its carrying some precious cargo that is of great value to me though the actual salvage would be yoursö Said Kultarin
ôAnd where would this wreck be?ö replied the captain
Kultarin handed over a note to the captain who immediately laughed when he saw it.
ôYouÆve got some guts ainÆt ya. ThatÆs pirate territory you knowö He snorted
Kultarin reached over and took the paper from his hand.
ôI see youÆre not interested. Sorry for wasting your timeö replied Kultarin bluntly and started to stand but the captain grabbed hold on his wrist.
ôDidnÆt say I wouldnÆt do the job, just said it was risky. Its gonna cost you.ö He said quickly
ôMoney isnÆt a problem. I will pay you 500k isk. More then enough to cover any loses you incur should anything go wrong. I assume youÆve backed up your clone recently? Kultarin asked
The captain nodded
ôGood then I will have some cargo containers sent down to you in which I want my possessions storedö said Kultarin and transferred 500k Isk over to the captains account.
ôWhat time do you want to set off?ö asked the captain
ôIÆd like you to go in twelve hoursö replied Kultarin ôI need some rest and then IÆll mail you the relevant informationö
With that Kultarin stood up and walked out of the bar heading back to his room.
***
A loud explosion echoes through the ship and jostled Kultarin inside the cargo container. That would be the pirates he thought rubbing the lump on his head where it had hit the side of the container. Probably a warning shot first and then demands to dump the cargo. Moments later he was tumbling in the container and it sounded like a storm was raging outside for a moment before he found himself in complete silence and free fall. HeÆd installed some minimal life support in the container but he wouldnÆt last forever.

The container shook once again which he assumed would be a tractor beam. After several minutes of waiting he was jostled again as the container crashed against something and gravity returned. Hopefully this will be the man he was after because by now the bomb on the captains ship whoÆd delivered him would have gone off by now. No doubt it would be assumed to have been the result of damage sustained by the attack by the pirates if they didn't kill him outright.
