Obviously there is a large population on this cluster just a bit too thick headed to understand the difference between an in-game character and a real person who just needs to lay off the brennivin.
On the topic of Goonswarm members killing eve, this misconception has been running amok since the day The Mittani took the Chair in CSM6. Despite my own misgivings about his particular gaming style (let's be honest, who doesn't hate CFC), I believe he's run a good tight ship in getting the Council recognised, something that hadn't happened since, well, it's founding. Furthermore, I'm pretty certain that the whole victory speech was from that character's perspective, not that of the man behind it. It truly saddens me that there are so many simpletons who can't see past some drunken metagaming.
Oh, and on the note of the miner, he's probably sitting at his desk, laughing at us all for having this mindless debate.
I must admit, I personally didn't vote for The Mittani, as to be honest I believe his work at getting the CSM the recognition it needs was done. He and I have never met, in-game or out, so I probably have no business defending someone who would likely gank me on sight in-game. I, however, do respect his ability to man up and confess his fault, and commend the extreme lengths he's went to to make amends, and find it utterly deplorable that so many of you find it nothing more than simply saving face, especially those of you who do so for their own gain.
Mittani, I didn't vote for you, I hardly know you outside of your shady reputation, and I agree on you abdicating the Chair. I also agree, however, for you staying on as a regular member, simply because you have rocks, per se, to keep the course true.. o7
