Two thoughts:
1. Taking a shot every time I saw an obvious NPC Sockpuppet Alt parrot the "Goons are meanie poopieheads" line was probably not very good for my liver.
b. The fact that people can't quite figure out there's a diff between "Mittani" and "The guy playing EVE who call shimself Mittani" is really kinda sad. |

Someone who is confirmed to know Mittani IRL mentioned it offhand on another forum, specifically the threats towards the family dog.
I prob shouldn't have discussed it without checking if it was ok, but the idea of someone taking this crap outside of the game... ******* crazy.
And going after a pet? That's just beyond the pale. Is your ice miner bot accoutn really worth that much? |

A sockpuppet is a new char created by an experienced player in order to hide their identity.
In the case of Mittani-haters, it's usually someone from one of the nullsec corps that goons are const at war with or one of the playesr who were using illegal bot sto play the game for them -- Mittani lead a army against them a while back, and the fat bastards will never forgive us for it.
A bot is someone who doesn't like EVE enough to actually bother playing it themselves, but still wants to be a rich internet spaceships pilot and generally ruin the game for everyone else in the name of their own e-peen.
You can see a majority of the former in the 100 page thread ranting about how mean Mittani is, they keep posting, over and over, making up crap like how PVPing in a video game is actually illegal cyber bullying and other stupid crap |
