For the past month or so, I've been working on a tool that was going to be internal, but I've decided to release it publicly.
The tool, as the name suggests, is a Corporation Tracker. It can monitor all your members using MemberTracking, including an "Activity Level" that gives you an at-a-glance view of which members are active and which are not. If you collect and store member API keys, it can also show information about individual characters, including what skill they're training, what attributes they have, implants, etc.
Integrated into CorpTracker is a POSTracker, which will currently allow you to configure your own POS with fuel amount, etc. Note, however, the only faction structures included so far is faction towers.
Note that this tool is currently a working beta and not everything will work, e.g. unhandled exceptions, obvious bugs, tool menu items that don't work, etc.
Realizing that this tool could be a way of obtaining a corporation CEO/Directors' Full API Keys, CorpTracker is open source. The paranoid can check through it to see if any connections are made to an external database, excluding, of course, the EVE API server.
Theres also a neat tool called "Reflector" that you can use to explore the compiled EXE's source.
CorpTracker is written in C# 3.0, and requires the .NET Framework. You can get it from Microsoft.
Download Links: CorpTracker 0.1.0 CorpTracker 0.1.0 Source Code
Tell me what you think and notify me of any questions/comments/complains/unhandeled exceptions, etc. either in game, in this thread, or by email at darkassassin93 at gmail dot com.
Thanks, Mulasha Sinae

Does your program allow you to download the Corporation Information, including the Member List, Last Time On, Location, Ship Flying, etc., that's currently available in the "Corporation" button?
I'm looking for the ability to record (or even Export to Excel) the list of Members, quite simply, for tracking who is a Member and who has left the Corp. We have a Forum that I need to update to add/remote Members, so that we do not have those who have left the Corp still able to read posts.
I believe screenshots might also help you to 'sell' your program to the masses, because those who might want to test it could see what they're getting before inputting their Full API.

looks rather useful. It doesn't seem like it always saves the api key correctly. The character ability comparison doesn't look like it does anything. I get an exception every time I try and run the POSTracker, which I would appreciate if you changed the name to something else as its too close to the name of my tool, POS-Tracker.

CorpTracker can't save any information, yet, but I'll be thinking of putting that feature in sometime.
Does the skilllist only give you an error when you try to change a person's API Key?
Does the API Key not save when using the Mass Add Key tool, or individually?
I'll try to find a name for the POS tracker that I made for CorpTracker that doesn't sound like that.
Thanks for your comments!

*Alt flagging doesn't really seem to do anything. *POS Tracker gives me an error (XML file not present) *Wallet information outdated, it's not even from two weeks ago. Shows us having in excess of 70 bil in a hardly used division, which is a bit too optimistic.
Otherwise the tool looks awesome! ---

Alt flagger works now, and the POS tracker loads (though I haven't tried using it yet.
The Compare Member Ability button doesn't do anything though, I did add several API keys to try it with. Characters of which I did not provide an API key will show the skills of the character you last viewed - which can be very confusing.
Some other tips: Graph data about member wealth levels (lowest to best), same with SP. And the ability to find capital pilots at glance would be sweet also (so I can quickly find a dread-capable character, for example).
Keep it up! The tool looks absolutely fantastic! ---

Does it give you a generic Windows error, or does it actually give you a reason the error occurred? Also, make sure CorpTracker is in it's own folder so that it doesn't effect anything that might be in it's parent folder.

When it crashes, click "What data does this error report contain?" Under "Error signature," what does it say under "P9"? This should contain the exception name and may allow me to pinpoint what the error is. Of course, it could also be an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object," which barely tells me anything .
Version 0.1.2 will feature better handling of unhandled exceptions (if that makes sense), so its easier for me to get information about the exception.

Unfortunately, you're going to have to wait until 0.1.2, which shouldn't be too far away. Hopefully that version will be able to tell me more information as to what is happening.

If you mean you can't open the solution file, try using VS2008. If you can't extract it at all, try using 7zip or WinRAR, because I can open it fine on my end.

It might require more than mono has to offer. I know mono doesn't handle GUI fully. I'll have to pipe it through wine somehow. I'll google it.
GetLastInputInfo() is used for the session expiration feature, which I forgot to tell people about XD. Since its a native method, Mono may not handle it correctly. As of now, if you don't move your mouse or tap your keyboard at all for 10 minutes, CorpTracker re-prompts you for your password. I'll give the option to enable it (it will be natively disabled) and set the interval.
Until then, you can manually disable it using the source code. If you open the file "MainWindow.Designer.cs" and navigate to line 1988, replacing the line:
this.timerSessionTimer.Enabled = true;
with:
this.timerSessionTimer.Enabled = false;
should allow you to start the program.
Don't hesitate to notify me in-game or by email if you have any more problems or questions!

Bug fix released: CorpTracker 0.2.1!
This version isn't a bug fix per se... It merely allows me to debug it easier. From now on, if you want to post a bug report, please download the Program Debug Database in the first post, stick it in the same directory as corptracker.exe, and reproduce the error. Post that error report, as it should contain more information that can be used to debug.

The benefit of putting the Program Debug Database in the same directory as the executable is that the stack trade includes line numbers, which allows me to pinpoint exactly where the error occurred. However, it also gives absolute file paths to the file in which the error occurred. That file path is specific to my PC, and will not change regardless of which PC it was executed on. This is normal behavior.

Will do. ^^
I appreciate the comments. I love it when people say that they like the tool, because it lets me know that what I'm doing here is making a difference in New Eden, no matter how small.
On that note, I may start (voluntarily) collecting usage statistics, i.e. who uses CorpTracker altogether, who uses the POS Monitor, the Character Ability Explorer, etc. Of course, if this was implemented, no personal data would be sent, just a number and a GUID or similar to know if its just looking at the tool or if people use it frequently, and I can prioritize using that!
The new version should be coming either tonight or tomorrow, so just wait a little longer and all those pesky internationalization bugs will be squashed like the filthy bugs they are!!

Now, even though I haven't even been able to start the application up yet, I have a feature request.
When I'm already collecting my corporation members API keys, can you have the program save wallet balances and perhaps give it an ability to show each members ISK balance in pretty looking graphs or anything like that?
Even if it's too advanced to implement right away, at least consider it as a major feature upgrade further on in the applications future.
Also, looking forward to the release I can actually use

You're in luck, because...
Bug fix released: CorpTracker 0.2.2!
This release fixes a rather annoying bug that involves all those that use a number system different from the American system, i.e. those that use a comma as their decimal point. Your ISK amounts should also now report correct amounts.

..regardless of whether I've typed in a ship name, selected it from the tree, or clicked on a character and then select a ship.
As an aside, one of my characters, whose skill information regarding various ships is showing up correctly in the main window, only 3 ships- all caldari frigates (Bantam, Condor, Griffin)- show up in the explorer. Very odd.

Tool > Market Transactions Doesn't show anything in the content window, window title says 1-1-0001 - 1-1-0001 and 0 transactions.
POS Monitor > Faction mods missing (though you've announced this), Cynosural Generator Array missing. Also has that second tab next to Fuel Levels that says O, HAI THEER. Just making sure you won't forget it later on ;)
Congratulations on being the first tool (as far as I'm aware) that actually calculates POS shield resistances!
Looking forward to seeing more features, keep up the good work as usual :)

- A "please wait" notification when I click on something. The program seems to stop responding while it's downloading stuff. Perhaps make downloading a separate thread? At the very least, put something on the status bar or something. A pretty pic like this would be nice.
- A program icon. The default MSVS icon is rather boring.
- Use a ToolStripContainer to hold the tool and status bars.
- Detect and strip trailing newlines after the mass API add, so you don't rely on your users.
- Detect and strip malformed strings throughout the program, so you don't rely on your users.
- Separate sort and group by on the main window into two groups. For example, I may want to sort by activity level but not display the information in groups of levels, but rather just usernames.
- Add a toolbar with buttons for launching things like the POS monitor, so I don't have to dig through menus if I don't want to.
In the options menu, the title "Activity Level Thresholds (Days)" is cut off on Windows Classic display modes (which I use)
- Secondary application windows (like the options menu) show on the taskbar. They are correctly set as application modal, but they should not be on the taskbar.
- In the POS monitor, the Save options are confusing. If I click Save without doing Save As first, I don't think anything happens. Save As Unencrypted should be renamed to export for less confusion, because the only time you would want to save it unencrypted would be to export it to another application.
- Actually, the menu entries on the POS monitor don't work at all. Why would I want to print the stuff out anyway? It behaves like a separate application, and it shouldn't. Perhaps you should find a way to integrate it into the main window.
- Labels are generally too wordy, especially when you first start the program. People like pictures with VERY short amounts of text.
- Precache character sheets should realize when no character APIs have been entered.
- Something to show the top buyer and seller in the Market Transaction Viewer would be nice (first figure out if the transaction is a buy or a sell).
- On your toolmenu, the names of items should be underlined to correspond with what alt combination they are (label = "&File", "&Edit", "&View", "Hi&story" is what Firefox uses)

Multi-threading as of now is not a priority. While it will be added in the coming versions (SoonÖ), and will make it in v1.0.0, my priorities lie with fixing bugs and completing features.
Originally by: Maleckii A program icon. The default MSVS icon is rather boring.
Not a priority, however, I will take suggestions or other people's submitted images and see if it could work, with their permission.
Originally by: Maleckii Detect and strip trailing newlines after the mass API add, so you don't rely on your users. Detect and strip malformed strings throughout the program, so you don't rely on your users.
The former has been implemented in the next version, the latter will most likely not. Its better if people know which API keys aren't being added in my opinion.
Originally by: Maleckii In the POS monitor, the Save options are confusing. If I click Save without doing Save As first, I don't think anything happens. Save As Unencrypted should be renamed to export for less confusion, because the only time you would want to save it unencrypted would be to export it to another application.
The "Save As" menu has been removed in the next version, and only a "Save" item will remain. Also, about the not doing anything:
Originally by: Mulasha Sinae As of now, POS Monitor does not save any towers created with the tool.
However, this will be added in the next version.
Originally by: Maleckii Actually, the menu entries on the POS monitor don't work at all. Why would I want to print the stuff out anyway? It behaves like a separate application, and it shouldn't. Perhaps you should find a way to integrate it into the main window.
If you wanted to have a hard copy of your POSes, that's what that would be for.
There would be no way that I can see to integrate it into CorpTracker aside from how it already is, short of making it a seperate application, which will most likely not happen. In the next version, however, it's modal status has been removed and behaves like a normal window.
Originally by: Maleckii Something to show the top buyer and seller in the Market Transaction Viewer would be nice (first figure out if the transaction is a buy or a sell).
In my opinion, Market Transactions Viewer is broken due to the fact that it does not keep track of any transactions that do not appear on the API's response. It only reports transactions for the past month (or less, if you're active enough), and doesn't give an accurate picture as to what your corp has bought or spent and any net gain that has been achieved. It should be "fixed" in the coming versions however.
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll see if I can incorporate come of them into the coming versions.

I have an interesting feature and you can quite easily say "GF" or whatever but it's something I have really been looking for, for managing my corp.
An ability to check all the containers in a station and count up ore that is contained in a specific container for a specific member and get a pay out figure for ore for that person.
Have been looking around for a while now and not found anything yet to help with this long and rather nasty procedure.
It may well be out of the scope of your project however, understood.

New version released: CorpTracker 0.3.0!
I apologize for the lateness of this release: real life has been getting in the way, but hopefully releases will come swifter now!
With this release, you can now save any POSes you make under the POS Monitor! It (should) prompt you to save if you haven't when you try to exit, and will automatically reload all POSes you've made that have been saved.
Also with POS Monitor, all faction structures have been added to the list! With the next release, it should be sorted into market groups, although you can toggle that on and off.
There are also some very minor fixes in terms of grammer or bugs, check the changelog for more details. As always, everything's at the first post. Originally by: Revolution Rising I have an interesting feature and you can quite easily say "GF" or whatever but it's something I have really been looking for, for managing my corp.

That would actually be very doable. If it was implemented, it wouldn't be as specific as ore, but more of a general search throughout all the corporation's assets and containers (correct me if I'm wrong about the containers, I'm not sure if you can get an item list in each one).
Thanks for the suggestion :)

Did you download the Program Debug Database, available at the first post, stick it in the same directory as the executable, and reproduce the error? This is essential for debugging the application, as any errors produced without it don't tell me exactly what line the error occurred on, which means its almost impossible to fix.

I believe you can get a list, I'm actually having it written at the moment - the one thing is the containers weren't big enough (you can't look inside a freight container at a pos) for a decent hulk pilot, so we're using corporate hangars instead for each person - that you can list "by hangar, by location" and designate particular hangars to particular people and just make a list of isk to be paid out then take all the ore. ;)
You should be able to get a list of POS's the corp has in space, why are we creating the POS entries instead of getting it from the API ?
I believe the program "POS Tracker" does this - altho I've had problems updating POS modules that are anchored or even online on pos's using this program. Last I looked at it, it was "unusable" from my perspective.
I'd love something similar to POS Tracker that can find out the fuel in the pos and tell me how long each pos has before it must be refuelled.

As of now, POS Monitor does not support this feature. However, I do have the base code needed (commented out from an earlier generation of the tool) to create it, and should only take under an hour.
Thus said, it will most likely make it in the next version, along with usage statistics and an API downloading dialog (while this doesn't make it multi-threaded, it will at least tell you when CorpTracker is downloading something). Making it multi-threaded would be time-consuming to say the least if I were to rewrite all the code in CorpTracker to use multi-threading. Some API engine changes have also been made making it easier to code (though thats really just talking to myself, isn't it? ).
The next release should be either today or tomorrow, and will most likely be version 0.4.0.

Sorry I haven't replied in a few days, I've been putting together a new computer and have been having some troubles.
Try running it as Administrator, assuming you have UAC on. If you don't, try running it in it's own folder, as CorpTracker makes a file and two folders it's parent directory, and can get a tad messy if you do it in other folders.

One other feature I'd love for this - the ability to do security checks for a particular API. As it is, it just logs the API key and saves it and only updates characters in your corp. I'd like to know about "other" characters on the account - mains, spies etc. I find a main on there that's got more SP and in a corp that's part of an alliance I'm at war with... I know. But as it is, I have to use evemon to do this.

1) 'crash' (error window) when there are people in the corp who you've previously had a valid API key for, but have let their accounts lapse, where the API is no longer accessable for their character(s). (sorry, I don't have any more details on this one- I removed the API key for the character I suspected was causing this, and the error went away) 2) I get an Unhandled Exception error when choosing a ship in the CAE. Yes, it does. What happened to this being open source for the paranoid? Hopeing that people will just use your virus-ridden exe that hands over the api keys to you?
The program itself is also protected by username and password, possibly due to a misconfiguration of the hosting server.
Also, if you're going to talk like that, stop posting and go die in a fire. ---
