When i first heard from these changes i thought that the Dev himself misunderstood the game mechanics. Would not have been the first time. When the bug was confirmed as a feature i couldnt prevent laughing. Why the hell would you want to change a good working system in something totally crappy like that ? Theres just like no sense in revoking bonuses from wing commanders, especially if you guys dislike offgrid boosters like you stated before. Now you've just pushed them..
Thats a bug and not claiming it as one just doesnt fix it.

wtf CCP. Please fix asap. Focus on that, it is a game based on fleets. And fire the guy who changed it. Or put him in the evegate team as punishment. |

Hi CCP,
send me an ingame mail if you want to discuss this. I would really like to see that changed back.
If you are WC ongrid, it does matter. If you are offgrid, it is 90% of the time not that important (some special sig based cases excluded). This looks like a nerf to ongrid CS and that is really confusing. Can you explain why you did this? Because I would rather see more CS on field comitting to the fight....

Old:
Fleetcommander gives bonus to hisself and all members in the Fleet
WC's recives the Bonus from hisself and the FC and gives bonus for his Squats below him

so it was FC >> WC >> SC
What is new copyed from GM answer
Wing Commander cannot receive any bonus provided by Fleet commander and vice versa. Squad commander, however, is an exception. And all members that are not commanders can receive bonuses from their superiors.
In my little opinion the system should be back to the old system.
Pls Like this post/thread to get attension to this problem.

Cumulative bonuses are bad for the game, however if whatever squad/fleet or wing commander has an unique active bonus there's no reason why the whole fleet shouldn't profit from it.
In fact I'm all for making Titans the ultimate command ship full of links, command and field command ships the wing and squad ones with only 2 available slots for links. More command ships to the battlefield instead of off grid T3 boosting !! |

CCP start boosting the ongrid command ships, let them have their bonus. that includes WC getting bonus from FC. At the moment you are forcing T3 offgrid boost which leads to less pvp. Which is bad for eve. Reward comittment to a fight, not offgrid boost :(
=> a WC without FC boost while the whole fleet gets that boost will think about the risk of being ongrid and shootable. They will most likely switch to offgrid and just cloak/warp off in case someone scans. Which is boring. |
