AHEM...from the official carbide recruit thread on eve-I : What is Carbide Industries like? We require team work and participation in corporate ops from all of our members. Members that just want to ædo their own thingÆ generally have a tough time advancing with us. What you bring with you when you join is yours to keep of course, and when we are not running corporation ops what you make on your own is yours as well. Assets earned during corporate activities however, are expected to go to the corporation. There are many modules, ammo, missiles, and drones available within our corporate hangars and most of it is available to all full members. If you need something and are going to use it, 99% of the time you will receive it. We have no official tax system and do not require money from any of our members. Donations are of course welcome, and many of our members do so. On a side note, multiple members donate most of their isk every day because they feel that they do not really need to have much of their own money since our corporation can provide everything they need.
This is quite clear.. I was a member (employee) for a short time, awesome fellows, really wish there were more people on during my play times..anyhow...it really says it all in that thread, which has been there forever. Carbide is socialist...you work for the corp and get what you want in return. IF you decide you want to leave, without addressing your problems first, and bail out...you should not expect to be compensated. You did not have to give everything you mined to the corp, but you did......why? Because you recieved whatever you wanted...and if you had not you would have left long before you did. Something made you mad, and you decided to leave. You should not be reimbursed or compensated further than you have already..you knew what you were getting into. When I left..I returned the guns that Dev had gotten me to chain with..I already had my own stuff and was just using them to try a different way to do things. When I left Pegasus, I returned my cruiser..as they had a lot of people quitting after getting them back in the day when cruisers were not as common as battleships are these days :P When I left Genco I did keep my BS which the corp provided me, but i did not DEMAND any type of severance, as the provided me with all the tools i needed to enjoy the game. It is crazy to say that anyone in a socialist corp is "ripped off" by mining when they already know it is a group effort..and by leaving you give up all rights to the groups rewards. When in Carbide..if you wanted a ship..you got one. ~TJ (PS hey Dev....shoot me a convo someday ya dog :P )
